A raíz de las presiones de los organismos editoriales de censura las historietas en Estados Unidos destinaron los contenidos a un público infantil y con el paso del tiempo las revistas de superhéroes adoptaron elementos más ridículos.
Tras la recepción positiva de la mascota del Hombre de Acero, DC incorporó a Ace, el perro maravilla que sería adoptado por Bruce Wayne, quien en la animación también tendría que lidiar con el Bati-Duende.

Si bien está dirigida a un target de espectadores de entre cuatro y 10 años su visionado es muy ameno y no arrastra los vicios del Hollywood de estos días, donde el sermón de iglesia hipster predomina sobre el entretenimiento.
En términos visuales Warner presenta un trabajo correcto y una estética similar a la que tuvo Scoob! con la diferencia que esta cuenta con un guión más decente. En la versión en inglés se destacan especialmente las interpretaciones de The Rock (Krypto), Kevin Hart (Ace) y Keanu Reeves a cargo de Batman.
La Liga de super mascotas cuenta con dos escenas post-créditos. La segunda, que probablemente se perderá la gran mayoría del público, es la más sólida y juega con un personaje de DC que pronto debutará en los cines.
Reitero, de todas las ofertas para chicos que se conocieron en la temporada invernal el film de Kypto es la más redonda y merece su recomendación.
