I tried out for the mascot team my sophomore year of high school and was fortunate enough to continue doing it my junior and senior years and I worked with the Spurs too, assisting their mascot. This design remained unchanged until 2011 when designers updated it to include more detail such as shading on both birds to give them more dimensionality while still keeping true to original stylistic elements like thin lines around their legs or wings which created a movement within static space.

UTSA Roadrunners Wordmark Logo

The University of Texas at San Antonio has a long and proud history, and its Roadrunners wordmark logo is an integral part of that story. The Roadrunners have been the school’s mascot since 1977 when it was chosen by students in a campus-wide vote. Since then, the iconic logo has become synonymous with UTSA athletics, representing strength and determination for generations of athletes who have donned the orange and blue colors proudly on their uniforms throughout the years.

When UTSA first adopted its current wordmark logo in 1983, it featured two roadrunner birds facing each other inside an oval shape with “UTSA” written across them. This design remained unchanged until 2011 when designers updated it to include more detail such as shading on both birds to give them more dimensionality while still keeping true to original stylistic elements like thin lines around their legs or wings which created a movement within static space.

In addition to updating existing details within this classic look over time; new versions were also introduced including one featuring just one bird standing alone without any text or oval shape surrounding him/her which became popular among fans due to its simplicity yet boldness – perfect for showing off team pride! Additionally, there are alternate logos available depending upon what type of merchandise you want: from t-shirts & hats all way up through car decals so everyone can show off their favorite college sports team no matter where they go!

From humble beginnings as a student's choice back in 1977 till today's modernized version - UTSA Roadrunner Wordmark Logo continues to be symbolically linked with the university's spirit & traditions providing a sense of belongingness amongst the alumni community worldwide!
