With both Tom and Jerry wielding incredible magic, they engage in an epic battle throughout the film. Their confrontations take place in different settings, including the house they reside in and an enchanted forest. Along the way, they encounter various other characters, such as a mischievous warlock and a cunning witch, who add additional layers of excitement and humor to the storyline.

How can mana absorption by a warlock lead to less than 100% overall gain?

Johnann Gotticus is a warlock on a quest to create his own kingdom, whatever the cost. For this to work, he needs to seek power to destroy his enemies. There is a procedure that allows him to steal mana from other innocent people. For this procedure to work, ancient runes must be carved into the flesh of a living victim from head to toe. Once this is done, the person is killed in a sacrificial ritual. This allows the ghost to leave the body, but keeps the mana contained within the corpse, allowing access to Gotticus to use. There are two ways in which this mana can be used. The first involves sealing it inside specialized containers. These containers are covered in runes meant to keep the mana in and prevent it from leaking. However, a significant amount of mana is lost upon the transference process from the corpse into the containers, up to 50%. Because of this, Gotticus considers it unreliable. The second option involves cannibalizing the mana by absorbing it into your body, immediately adding a permanent boost to your supply and makes your magic much stronger and can even extend your lifespan. The body can hold an unlimited supply of mana. It also functions as a better container due to the fact that it is biological, and naturally built to hold it. There is no loss of mana upon transference, allowing all to be absorbed. The problem is that the overall net gain from this method is far less than the 1st option. A person would only receive up to 10% increase in their mana supply, even though 100% has been transferred. Why would this be the case with the 2nd?

$\begingroup$ What does it mean to you to say that "100% has been transfered," and "only 10% increase in their mana supply"? What does it mean to perfectly transfer something but not get to use it all? $\endgroup$

1. John - 1/5 stars
I found "Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring" to be extremely disappointing. The animation was dated and the storyline was unoriginal and predictable. The characters, which are usually lovable and funny, felt flat and uninspired. It lacked the humor and charm that the original Tom and Jerry cartoons are known for. Overall, it was a forgettable and lackluster addition to the franchise.
2. Sarah - 2/5 stars
I had high hopes for "Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring," but it fell short of my expectations. The plot was weak and the jokes were far from funny. The animation quality was mediocre, and it felt like a cheap attempt to cash in on the popularity of the original Tom and Jerry series. The antagonistic relationship between Tom and Jerry that we all know and love was barely present in this film. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a classic Tom and Jerry experience.
3. Mike - 2/5 stars
As a long-time fan of Tom and Jerry, I was disappointed with "The Magic Ring." The storyline was lackluster and failed to capture the essence of the original cartoons. The humor was forced and predictable, and the characters lacked the charm and wit that made the original series so enjoyable. It felt like a subpar attempt to milk the franchise, rather than a genuine effort to create a memorable film. I would suggest revisiting the classic Tom and Jerry episodes instead of wasting your time on this lackluster movie.
4. Emily - 1/5 stars
"Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring" was a complete letdown. The animation was poorly done, and the characters didn't resemble their usual selves. The storyline was weak and uninteresting, with forced attempts at humor that fell flat. It felt like a cheap cash grab rather than a genuine addition to the Tom and Jerry franchise. I would recommend skipping this film and sticking to the classic Tom and Jerry episodes, which are far superior in terms of animation and storytelling.
