Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain

World famous Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain was a rush and is easy to get to from your Big Bear cabin. We started off on a chair lift ride up the scenic mountain with breathtaking views of the San Bernardino National Forest. When we got to the top we grabbed our sled and reviewed the safety instructions and prepared with a little banter amongst one another as we sat in our sleds.

Two tracks to choose from both of them a quarter mile long, one side is faster than the other. Of course I choose the faster side that provided the adrenaline rush I was looking for. High bank turns, fast straightaway’s getting your sled at top speeds “they say” 30 miles per hour. It was a rush needless to say, I will for sure go back and do this again the next time I enjoy a cabin rental in Big Bear Lake.

Tales of the magci tree

These guardians were said to possess extraordinary abilities themselves, with the ability to communicate with all creatures of the forest and possess knowledge beyond the understanding of mortal beings. Throughout history, the magic tree had witnessed many significant events. It had been a silent witness to the rise and fall of kingdoms, the birth and death of great leaders, and the triumphs and tragedies of humanity. Its presence offered a sense of hope and tranquility to all those who sought it out. But despite the tree's powers, it could not save itself from the passage of time. As the centuries went by, the magic tree started to wither and lose its vitality. Its branches grew brittle, and its once luscious leaves turned brown and fell to the ground. The guardians of the tree knew that its magic was fading. In a last-ditch effort to preserve the magic tree's legacy, the guardians embarked on a quest to find a new sapling from which a new magic tree could be born. They traveled to distant lands, seeking out the purest and most magical source of life. After years of searching, they found what they were looking for. With great care, the guardians took the sapling back to the original magic tree. They planted it next to its withered trunk and performed ancient rituals to transfer the fading enchantments into the new tree. As they completed their rituals, a surge of energy flowed through the old tree, rejuvenating it and restoring its powers. The magic tree once again stood tall and proud, with vibrant green leaves whispering in the wind. The guardians knew that the cycle of life and magic would continue, ensuring that the tales of the magic tree would be told for generations to come. And so, the magic tree became a symbol of hope and wonder, reminding everyone that even in the darkest of times, new beginnings and magic could emerge. People from far and wide continued to seek solace and wisdom under the tree's branches, with the knowledge that they would always find what they were searching for - a touch of magic in their lives. The tales of the magic tree lived on, enchanting the hearts and minds of all who heard them..
