When visiting Boston, Massachusetts, we decided to take a day trip from Boston to spend an amazing day in Salem, Massachusetts. I had always wanted to visit the Salem witch trials location and knew this would be the best place to learn about the actual Salem witch trial facts and history.
We planned to start our day in Salem at the Salem Witch Museum. This is not your typical museum where you will walk in and stare at items at your own leisure. This is more of an experience. At first glance, the building of this museum seems very out of the ordinary. Set in an old church, the Salem Witch Museum’s appearance looks much different than anything around it.

I was really disappointed with my experience at the Salem Witch Dungeon Museum. The tickets were way too expensive for what we got. The "musyum" was poorly organized and lacked any sort of informative displays. I felt like I was just walking through a random basement, with no clear direction or storytelling. The actors were also incredibly cheesy and over-the-top, which made it hard to take anything seriously. Overall, I would not recommend wasting your time or money on this attraction.

I was really excited to visit the Salem Witch Dungeon Museum, but it turned out to be a major letdown. The ticket prices were outrageous, especially considering the lack of substance in the "musyum". The displays were poorly maintained and didn't provide any real historical context or educational value. The actors were also quite amateurish and didn't bring any authenticity to their roles. Save your money and visit one of Salem's other attractions instead.
