The Purple Magic is a semi dwarf, mid-sized crape myrtle that grows to a mature height of 6 ft. to 10 ft. in height and 5 ft. to 6 ft. in width and can bring a burst of color to smaller yard spaces. Its new growth comes in red-tinted before turning green in the summer, ushering in the blooms. Purple Magic is hardy in Zones 7-9 and is resistant to mildew and leaf spot. It should be planted in full sun and with well-drained soil. Removal of expired flower heads will often times prolong and increase the duration of the blooms. The plant is shipped in a #3 pot with a minimum height of 18 inches.
Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit.
