Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a young boy named Peter. Peter was an ordinary boy who loved to explore the woods near his village. One day, while he was wandering through the forest, he stumbled upon a mysterious object – a small wooden box. Curiosity got the better of Peter, and he decided to open the box. As soon as he lifted the lid, a vibrant light radiated from inside the box, and a cloud of magical dust engulfed Peter. To his surprise, Peter found himself in a different world altogether.
The day will end with a show and tell session with a member of the home learning team, the children will be encouraged to talk about something they have learnt/made that day. The zoom call will end for the day with a zones of regulation check in and a story time.
Hoist by His Own Petard When Tinwhiskers is trying to escape with the magic egg, he ends up falling into the same old well he tricked Peter into falling in. Redemption Demotion When Tobias Tinwhiskers turns back into Tobias Toot, the loss of his metal parts presumably means he no longer has superhuman strength.
To his surprise, Peter found himself in a different world altogether. The trees were taller, the birds sang in a different tune, and there was a peculiar sense of enchantment all around. Peter soon realized that he had discovered a magical wand inside the box, which had the power to transport him to this extraordinary world.

Welcome back, Class 2!
This half term we are looking at ‘Famous People’ in our community who we look up to because they help us. We focused this week on firefighters and the important job they do. We practiced what we should do in a fire, practicing a ‘stop, drop and roll’ procedures, crawling and discussed what number we should call for a fire. We even practiced a fire drill and made fire extinguishers to put out ‘fires’.
We did many science experiments too. We made ice melt in different ways to investigate which would be the quickest. We moved fire engines with magnets and we used a ramp to investigate the quickest way to get Fireman Frank from the station to the fire. In numeracy we focused on shapes. We made shape fire engines with paper and then we made biscuit fire engines with shapes we baked. We also sorted and transported shapes using the toy fire engines. In literacy, we read and made our own scripts, recording our friends’ sentences with the iPad.
This Friday, we will be sent home with a Firefighter training certificate and some optional home activities, including a fireman song. Next we will explore Police Officers.

Peter had to use all his wit and cunning to outsmart the sorcerer and protect the wand. Through his adventures, Peter learned the importance of using magic responsibly and for the greater good. He also learned that true power lies in friendship and courage, not just in wielding a magical wand. Peter became a wise and respected figure in the village, and he used his magical abilities to bring joy, happiness, and prosperity to all. In the end, Peter decided to keep the magical wand hidden in a secret place, only to be used in times of great need. He knew that he had the power to change the world, but he wanted to ensure that magic remained a force for good. And so, Peter continued to live in the ordinary world, but with the extraordinary knowledge that magic existed and that he had experienced its wonders firsthand. He became an inspiration for the villagers, reminding them that dreams do come true, and magic can be found in the most unexpected places. And so, the tale of Peter and the magical wand became a legend, passed down from generation to generation, reminding people of the limitless possibilities of the human spirit and the magic that lies within us all..
