This is Scrap and like my other plushie patterns, he’s pretty quick and easy to make. I try to use shapes and stitches that are simple and add details in other ways, and for Scrap, I used embroidery to really add character to this voodoo doll. Even if you’re new to embroidery, I hope you give this pattern a try. Everything is explained in the pattern so let’s get into it!
Unlike most voodoo dolls, Scrap was never bound to anyone. Instead, he was charmed by a young witch to come to life and live as he wished. Scrap stayed with the witch and they became fast friends, going foraging together in the woods for potion ingredients and spending the evenings practicing spells and making things. The witch noticed that whenever she left out bits of yarn and little oddments of paper, her friend would gobble them all up! And so she named him Scrap.
