Magic Ice Bar and Gallery is a venue that is almost entirely made of ice. Over 60 tonnes of ice cover every surface of this exceptional venue, except the floors, ceiling and doors. It took 10 experienced artisans more than 8 months to create this artistic masterpiece on Reykjavik’s main street.
When you enter the venue, you will be greeted by friendly staff and given a complimentary poncho and gloves. You will then cross the threshold into an arctic wonder. The walls are covered in magnificent ice carvings. These carvings tell the story of the Norwegian Viking sailors who made there way over the rough Atlantic seas long ago to start a new life in the land of fire and ice. You will see stories of the sagas filled with adventure and myth.
