Trick or Treat Town at The Magic House

Trick-or-Treat Town is the fun new outdoor Halloween experience at The Magic House, where kids can put on their witches' hats (helmets), pick out their favorite broomstick (tricycle) and explore everything this Halloween-themed town has to offer.

The adventure includes stops at the Craft Shop, Candy Shop, Firehouse and more. After kids are done exploring, they can park their trike and play some fun yard games, like pumpkin tic-tac-toe!

Trick-or-Treat Town is part of Halloween Magic at The Magic House and takes place during regular Magic House hours through October 31. Trick-or-Treat Town is included in regular admission.

The Magic House hours are:

This month in our Small Explorers program we’re attending a planetarium showing of "The Moon" and will be reading the book "Love you to the Moon and Back" by Amelia Hepworth and Tim Warnes. We will explore the wonders of the moon through a planetarium program and engaging activities. Together, we'll learn about the moon's phases, textures, and stories while fostering curiosity and creativity in our young participants.

Join us in the Planetarium for this free talk by Dr. Josh Winn, Princeton professor and author of The Little Book of Exoplanets. Dr. Winn explains why it took so long to find exoplanets, what new technologies and techniques were required, and what kinds of planets have been found. Recent advances have revealed bizarre new planets unlike anything in the solar system, while also bringing us to the threshold of finding other planets similar to Earth.

1. John - 2 stars: I was really excited about getting a Magic House membership during Black Friday, but I ended up being quite disappointed. The customer service was lacking, as the staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful. Additionally, the membership benefits were not as great as I anticipated. The advertised perks, such as exclusive access to exhibits and events, were rarely available and limited in number. Overall, it was not worth the money and I regretted my purchase.

2. Emily - 2.5 stars: Despite the attractive Black Friday deal, my experience with the Magic House membership was underwhelming. The facilities were overcrowded, making it difficult to fully enjoy and explore the exhibits. The lack of organization and long waiting times for certain activities added to the frustration. Moreover, the member-only events were not frequent enough to justify the cost of the membership. I expected a more personalized and enjoyable experience, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations.

3. Sarah - 1 star: I had high hopes for the Magic House membership during the Black Friday sale, but it turned out to be a complete waste of money. The exhibits were poorly maintained, with many interactive features broken or malfunctioning. The staff seemed indifferent to the issues, and their lack of engagement made the visit feel impersonal. Additionally, the overall cleanliness was lacking, which is especially concerning during a pandemic. I would not recommend the Magic House membership based on my disappointing experience.
