Exploring the Cultural References in Cherry Magic Episode 12

By admin

In episode 12 of the anime series "Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!" (also known as "Cherry Magic"), the story continues to follow Adachi, a 30-year-old office worker who discovers that by touching someone, he can hear their thoughts. However, this power only works when the person harbors romantic feelings for him. In this episode, Adachi's coworker and friend, Hayakawa, confesses his feelings for Adachi. Adachi is taken aback by the sudden revelation and is unsure how to respond. The situation becomes even more complicated when Adachi's childhood friend, Yuki, who has been harboring a crush on Adachi for years, witnesses the confession. Adachi is torn between his feelings for Hayakawa and his friendship with Yuki.

Theoretically, it is possible to acquire every tome in the game (54 at initial launch). However, doing this would be considered incredibly difficult, as well as inefficient.

Magic tome three two one

Adachi is torn between his feelings for Hayakawa and his friendship with Yuki. He realizes that he has unknowingly hurt Yuki by not recognizing his feelings all this time. Adachi decides to talk to Yuki and be honest about his own confusion.

Magic tome three two one

Anyone care to explain how it functions?

As someone who is not familiar with AoW, does it act like the spell pages in Spellforce, or is there more depth too it?

I ask because as a concept magic in 4x games has a lot of potential, but as far as I have seen is never realized. (Never offers more than a mere buff or damage animation with a magic aesthetic)

Kinda like the ascension paths in Stellaris i guess? except there's 50 of them instead of 3.

Each one evolves your faction with different units, economic boosts, and visuals.

From what we've seen so far in game: Tomes affect what research you have access to.

When trying to do research, you are presented with 3 options. Two of which are from what tomes you've unlocked, and the third option is a general research that you can get regardless.

Each tome you unlock gives you +2 points in one of the game's six affinity trees. The affinities are Order, Chaos, Nature, Astral, Materium and Shadow.

if you choose chaos will also the buildings transform into mordor like ones together with the demonic transformed units?

You start off with 1 tome at faction creation, and after completing a certain number of researches in it, you unlock a new tome to pick from.

Theoretically, it is possible to acquire every tome in the game (54 at initial launch). However, doing this would be considered incredibly difficult, as well as inefficient.

In practice, most players will probably complete a realm after obtaining somewhere between 9 to 11 tomes.

We don't know yet. Streamers right now are only allowed to show off the faction creation system. Actual gameplay videos will be available in April.

The magic tomes effectively are your tech tree this time around. When conducting research, you are presented with three randomly available options from the tome you are currently researching. Two of these options are associated with what tomes you have access to, while the 3rd option is a 'generic' research that anybody who shares the same culture as yours can obtain.

ok but is it possible to miss the demonkin transformation because its random? or do i get this spell always for sure?
and the 3.tome has something with demonportal as name so i hope it can open a portal with invading demons similar to this riftportal in planetfall for the psynumbra secret technologie but hopefully more effective

Does the pool of tomes to choose from depend on previous tomes, or affinities, or anything else? Are there different tiers of tomes, and what does a tier imply mechanically?

I feel like I've answered a lot of these question on my first post, earlier on this page. But here it goes.

According to the devs, the tomes are divided up into 5 tiers, spread across 6 different affinity trees. For each tome you acquire, it gives you +2 points of the associated tree. For example, the Tome of the Horde is associated with Chaos affinity. So if you picked up Tome of the Horde, you would get +2 points of Chaos Affinity. If later on in the game, you chose to unlock the Tome of Mayhem, you would get an additional +2 points in Chaos Affinity.

The affinity trees provide additional bonuses for your faction, depending on which route you continue to expand down. For each point you have with an affinity, you gain +1 experience down that tree each turn. So, for example, if you have 6 points with Chaos Affinity, you would get 6 experience in the Chaos Affinity branch each turn. Where as if you only had 2 points in Chaos affinity, you would get 2 experience per turn.

In other words, hyper specializing in one affinity will allow you to advance down it's tree at a faster rate, than if you tried to spread yourself across multiple types.

Still, are there specific requirements to unlock a specific Nature tome of tier 3, for example? Should I learn X spells from any tier 2 tome - or from the specific tier 2 tome? Should I have Y Nature affinity? Are there other requirements or restrictions like culture or alignment?

We don't know at this time. The devs have only put out two gameplay videos, and both of them have the devs skip ahead to a later point in the game to show off some battles.

Streamers who got an early access testing copy are only allowed to show off the faction creation system right now. We won't get to see actual gameplay videos until April.
