How Captain Magic Buttons Became A Household Name

By admin

Captain magic buttons is a term commonly used in the field of web development. It refers to a fictional concept where a button has the ability to magically solve all problems or achieve any desired outcome with just a single click. The term is often used sarcastically or humorously to suggest that some people have unrealistic expectations about the capabilities of technology or that they believe there is a simple solution to complex problems. It is a reminder that building websites or software requires careful planning, coding, and troubleshooting, rather than relying on a magical button to instantly solve all issues. In reality, creating a functional and successful website or software requires a combination of technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. It involves understanding the needs of the users, designing intuitive interfaces, writing clean and efficient code, and testing and debugging the application thoroughly.

It involves understanding the needs of the users, designing intuitive interfaces, writing clean and efficient code, and testing and debugging the application thoroughly. While there are many tools and frameworks available to assist web developers in their work, there is no substitute for hard work, experience, and a deep understanding of the underlying technologies. Captain magic buttons serve as a reminder that success in web development comes from a combination of technical expertise and diligent efforts, rather than relying on shortcuts or magical solutions.

I have searched the Web high and low for lyrics I once saw, a complete parody of the Peter, Paul and Mary song "Puff the Magic Dragon," but written about the AC-47 gunships developed in Vietnam. I am writing a graduate school paper and need them rather quickly, if I can get them.

I have found only two fragments of the lyrics so far, though I am positive I have seen a complete version on the Web, I just cannot find it, try though I might:

"Puff the magic Dragon, A bird of days long gone, Came to fly the evening sky, In a land called Vietnam"; and

"A dragon lives forever, but but but not little men in black" (pajamas, the preferred Viet Cong dress code)

Any assistance would be of inestimable help.

"Puff the magic Dragon, a bird of days long gone,
Came to fly the evening sky in a land called Vietnam." Unknown

An AC-47 pilot, Major Robert P. Knoph, penned some lyrics to the tune of the popular Peter, Paul and Mary song, "Puff the Magic Dragon." He closed the song, "Now dragons live forever, and Puff is just the same. The Gooney Bird will still be heard when grandpa is my name." We don't know if Major Knoph is a grandpa, but the Gooney Bird is still around.

This is all I can find at present. I will see if I can locate Maj Knoph. If so, I'll ask if he has the rest. I cannot find the song you want on the web.

They are looking for the words, too. Might be worth giving them a shout.
Can't find the Maj.

Possibly one of the vets on the 'cat can help. We'll keep the thread up there for all to see. What's your timeline on the paper?

I found the guy's name who wrote the revised lyrics in one place - Major Robert P. Knoph - and this version of the song, which did not list the author's name, in another. I suppose Knoph is the culprit:

Puff the Magic Dragon

Puff the Magic Dragon, a bird of Cam Ranh bon
Came to fly the evening skies
In a land called Vietnam.

Puff the Magic Dragon, came across the sea,
To write it's name in guns of flame
In the heart of hostile SEA

When the grunts are in trouble
And Charlie's all around
The thoughts may pry into the sky
Beneath the fires on the ground

The VC's mortal terror, starts when many cries
And the Dragon's breath of sudden death
Comes screaming from the sky.

Yes, Puff will still be flying,
From one corps down to four
Till Charlie's gone and the evening comes
It's like the year before.

But I'll remember always, the ground troops grateful cry,
When fire is beamed and Charlie screamed
At the Dragon in the sky.

Now Dragons live forever and the Puff is just the same,
The Gooney Bird will still be heard when Grandpa is my name.
It will have to roam the skies with friends ..not with me
For I'm going home, no more to roam
In a land across the sea.

Puff the Magic Dragon, a bird of Cam Ranh bon
Came to fly the evening skies
In a land called Vietnam.

Puff the Magic Dragon, came across the sea,
To write it's name in guns of flame
In the heart of hostile SEA

Of course it doesn't rhyme, but that mustn't that be Cam Ranh "Bay," the site of a huge American base in RVN?

Also, what's spelled out as "One Corps" was actually pronounced "Eye Corps" because it was designated by the Roman numeral "I."

Reviews for "Captain Magic Buttons and the Power of Friendship"

1. John - 1 star - I found "Captain Magic Buttons" to be an incredibly disappointing experience. The plot was thin and predictable, the characters were one-dimensional, and the acting felt forced. The special effects were also subpar, making it difficult to get invested in the film. Overall, I felt like I wasted my time and money watching this movie.
2. Amanda - 2 stars - "Captain Magic Buttons" had its moments, but overall, I was left unimpressed. The storyline felt disjointed, jumping from one scene to another without much coherence. The humor also fell flat for me, with forced jokes that didn't land. The acting was mediocre at best, and the pacing of the film was inconsistent. I was hoping for an entertaining superhero movie, but unfortunately, this was not it.
3. Sarah - 1 star - I have to say, "Captain Magic Buttons" was a complete waste of my time. The plot was nonsensical and poorly developed, leaving me confused and uninterested. The dialogue was cringe-worthy, with cheesy lines that made me roll my eyes. The visuals were also underwhelming, with unconvincing CGI and lackluster action sequences. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone looking for a quality superhero film.
