Classic pagan attire refers to the traditional clothing worn by individuals who follow pagan beliefs and engage in pagan rituals. Paganism, which encompasses various nature-based religions, such as Wicca, Druidism, and Asatru, often includes rituals and ceremonies that celebrate the cycles of nature, and the attire worn during these occasions is a significant part of the overall experience. Traditional pagan attire often incorporates elements of nature and symbolism, reflecting the pagan's connection to the natural world and their belief in the ancient deities. As paganism is not a single, unified religion, the specific clothing styles can vary depending on the particular pagan path and personal preferences. However, there are some common themes and elements that can be found in classic pagan attire. One of the main characteristics of classic pagan attire is the use of natural fibers and materials.

One of the main characteristics of classic pagan attire is the use of natural fibers and materials. Pagan practitioners often prefer garments made from cotton, linen, wool, or silk, as these materials are considered to be more in harmony with nature compared to synthetic fabrics. The choice of materials also reflects the pagan's emphasis on sustainability and respect for the environment.

Seven Magic Mountains

Let's be honest, does one really go to Vegas without the iconic Seven Magic Mountain pic? I think not 😎. This art exhibit has been on my 'insta' bucketlist for a while. I convinced my mom to make a drive with me and let's just say. it's totally worth it.

These boulders are truly out in the middle-of-no-where-las-vegas. The drive will take about 25 minutest from the strip but again, it is absolutely worth it. The reason this installation is all the way out here is because artist Ugo Rondinone wanted the exhibit to be physically and sybolically half way between the natural and artificial. There is a small sign with a phone number displayed where you can listen to some brief descriptions of Ugo and his piece [702.381.5182]

These bright mountains are about 35 feet tall! And yes - they are real boulders. They are all locally sourced and hand (spray)painted. Ugo is known for his use of color and I am just in awe of these colors and how well they go together out here in the desert.

These boulders can each weigh up to 30 tons and while they are extremely secure and stable please refrain from any obstruction or climbing on the rocks. This is an art exhibit and here for the publics enjoyment and visual pleasure.

Check out the process of the Seven Magic Mountains! You can see the whole journey on sevenmagicmountains.com and watch more videos under the 'learn' tab.

I really was so happy to finally get to pose here and see it in person. However, don't let this image fool you there were tonnss of others here, I just cropped them out ;) #worthit

This exhibit is completely free but HURRY. These magic mountains are only going to be here until years end 12/31/18! It was only a two year exhibit out in the Vegas Desert. However, due to its popularity and and draw there is a chance it will hang around longer!

EDIT: The Seven Magic Mountains are here to stay for THREE MORE YEARS! A new contract has been made allowing the colorful rocks to stay parked outside Vegas until 2021. However, if we all keep coming to visit - there is a chance it will become a permeant exhibit!

Another characteristic of pagan attire is the incorporation of natural elements. Many pagans choose to wear accessories or clothing featuring symbols such as animal motifs, plants, or celestial symbols, representing their connection to the natural world and their reverence for the divine forces that govern it. Popular symbols include trees, animals like wolves or owls, and symbols of the sun, moon, or stars. Classic pagan attire is also often influenced by historical and cultural aesthetics. Pagan practitioners may draw inspiration from ancient civilizations, such as the Celts, Vikings, or ancient Greeks, and incorporate their clothing styles into their own attire. This may include wearing flowing robes, tunics, cloaks, or other traditional garments associated with these cultures. In addition to the visual aspects, the purpose of pagan attire is to create a sense of identity and to facilitate spiritual connection. By wearing specific clothing during rituals or ceremonies, pagans aim to tap into the energies of ancient traditions and connect with the spirits and deities they worship. Classic pagan attire serves as a reminder of the individual's dedication to their belief system and offers a way to express their spirituality and unique path. Overall, classic pagan attire holds great importance for practitioners of pagan traditions. By embracing natural materials, incorporating symbolic elements, and drawing inspiration from historical and cultural aesthetics, pagans create a visual representation of their connection to the natural world, their spiritual beliefs, and their individual path within the larger pagan community..
