Since the 1989 Oziana is more movie-based, it shouldn t be too surprising that it s not a favorite of mine, but I have some things to say about it anyway. The Good Witch of the North, from her one chapter in Baum s work, appears to be level-headed and very wise, though she never suspected the Wizard of being a fraud.
She knows about the powers of the Wizard of Oz and instructs Dorothy to seek his help in order to return home. Although she only appears briefly in the story, the Witch of the North plays a crucial role in setting Dorothy's journey in motion. Her guidance and advice help Dorothy overcome many challenges and find her way back home.
