The Witch King is a fantasy novel written by Martha Wells. It is a part of the Books of the Raksura series, which is set in the Three Worlds universe. This series follows the adventures of the Raksura, a shape-shifting race with a complex social structure. In The Witch King, the protagonist is Moon, a Raksura who has spent most of his life as a solitary wanderer. However, he is forced to return to his birth colony, Indigo Cloud, when he receives a message from his mentor, Jade. Indigo Cloud is facing multiple challenges, including the threat of a powerful rival colony and an ancient enemy called the Fell.

01/25/23 System Collapse, the next Murderbot novel, is now up for preorder and will be available on November 14, 2023, in hardcover, ebook, and audiobook.

But my point is this This was a standalone that could well have served to introduce someone to Martha Wells writing and make them want to read more of her stuff. the fact that there is a huge dramatis personae at the beginning of the book where half the characters have these long dramatic titles and it is completely useless;.

5. Emily - 3 stars - "Witch King" by Martha Wells was an okay read for me. While the concept seemed intriguing, the execution fell short. The pacing was inconsistent, with some parts dragging on while others felt rushed.
