The Witch from the West: Nightmarish or Nurturing?

As with so many products today, there are problems dealing with certain brands and outright "rip offs." The "Magic Tracks Store" is poorly set up, and does not show if an item is "in stock" or "out of stock." You have to make a complete order, including your credit card number, then a day or so later you find out that items are on "back order." I can verify the many bad reviews generated by this problem because I ordered four items in October, got a "backorder" notice a week later, and then found out that "due to the popularity of these products orders cannot be filled before Christmas." I tried to cancel the order and found there was no option for that! I eventually contacted OnTel Products (parent of Magic Tracks) to cancel the order and received no reply. Late in January I got a post card telling me that I had to resend my credit card number to get the cancelled order.

There is an old adage in retail that; You can t buy the good publicity of word of mouth advertising, nor can you buy back the bad publicity of poor customer service. In the attempt to move the switch from the bottom of the cars as had been done years ago, and make it more accessible on the car s top, they inadvertently created this problem.
