Chow Yun-fat is the chosen one who must discover his powers (including bending silverware Matrix-style) and defeat the Cat Warrior. Has some horror elements but feels more like a superhero origin story. Unfortunately, that includes saving most of the action for the final act but the last 25 minutes is definitely worth the wait. Although its Best Action Choreography win at the Hong Kong Film Awards over Righting Wrongs is questionable.

Pretty dull and goofy supernatural romance between Chow Yun Fat and some sort of ancient magic woman plays out like an HK version of American fantasy romcom junk like Splash or Mannequin for its first hour or so. , perhaps; or more likely, Would it please your Majesty to know that at the present moment this temple, of which you are the Supreme and Anointed Guardian, is under the imminent threat of disturbance by a person or persons possibly bearing ill-will toward Your August Presence.

Witch from nepal

In traditional Nepalese society, witches are often associated with the occult and practices that fall outside the realm of mainstream religion. While the concept of witchcraft is prevalent in Nepal, it is important to note that the perception and treatment of witches vary across different communities and regions. In some areas, witches are seen as takers of life and are feared and ostracized by society. On the other hand, there are communities that view witches as healers and go to them for remedies and spiritual guidance. One such example is the village of Budi Chaur, located in the Lalitpur district of Nepal. Here, witchcraft is a deeply ingrained part of the local culture. The village is believed to be home to several witches, who are sought after by people seeking help with their problems. These witches are believed to have the power to cure illnesses, bring luck, and even impact the weather. Throughout history, witch trials have occasionally taken place in Nepal. These trials reflect the deep-seated fear and suspicion surrounding witches and their supposed powers. In recent years, however, there has been a growing awareness and acceptance of the rights of individuals accused of witchcraft. Organizations and activists are working to promote understanding and protect the rights of individuals who may be falsely accused of witchcraft. The concept of witches continues to hold a powerful sway over the collective imagination of the people of Nepal. It is a testament to the enduring nature of folklore and the melding of traditional beliefs with modern-day sensibilities. The witches of Nepal, with their mysterious and bewitching powers, continue to captivate and intrigue both locals and foreigners alike..
