Wiccan sabbats are religious festivals celebrated by Wiccans and other Neopagans. These festivals correspond to the changing seasons and the cycles of the moon. One such sabbat is the Wiccan sabbat in 2023. In the year 2023, Wiccans will come together to celebrate the sabbats that occur throughout the year. These sabbats mark important points in the Wheel of the Year, connecting practitioners to nature and the divine. Each sabbat has unique customs, rituals, and traditions associated with it.
The beloved “Mr. C.,” Perry Como, launches the parade of 50s favorites with vintage footage of the show’s 1958 top 10 title track “Magic Moments.” Another archival clip presents the always emotional Johnnie Ray with “Cry,” a million-seller from 1951, while Pat Boone croons his romantic classic from 1957, “Love Letters in the Sand.”
More great group sounds are heard from the stunning McGuire Sisters, who offer a medley of sentimental standards such as Sincerely, Sugartime and Something s Gotta Give. Another archival clip presents the always emotional Johnnie Ray with Cry, a million-seller from 1951, while Pat Boone croons his romantic classic from 1957, Love Letters in the Sand.
Each sabbat has unique customs, rituals, and traditions associated with it. The Wiccan sabbat in 2023 will include eight major festivals, beginning with Imbolc on February 1st. Imbolc is a celebration of the return of the light and the coming of spring.

It is a time for purification and honoring the goddess Brigid. Next is Ostara on March 20th, which marks the spring equinox. It symbolizes the balance between light and dark and the renewal of life. Many Wiccans celebrate Ostara by planting seeds and decorating eggs. On May 1st, Beltane is celebrated. This sabbat is a joyous celebration of fertility and growth. It is a time to honor the union of the god and goddess and to embrace the abundance of the natural world. The summer solstice, known as Litha, falls on June 21st. This sabbat represents the height of summer and celebrates the power of the sun. Many Wiccans gather to watch the sunrise and engage in rituals that honor the sun's energy. Lughnasadh takes place on August 1st. It is a harvest festival that celebrates abundance and the first fruits of the season. Wiccans may participate in feasts, rituals, and games during this sabbat. Mabon, the autumn equinox, occurs on September 22nd. It is a time to give thanks for the harvest and to prepare for the coming winter. Wiccans may create altars and make offerings of gratitude during this sabbat. Samhain, also known as Halloween, is celebrated on October 31st. It is a time to honor ancestors, commune with spirits, and prepare for the winter months. Many Wiccans hold rituals to honor the dead during this sabbat. Finally, Yule marks the winter solstice on December 21st. It is the longest night of the year and celebrates the rebirth of the sun. Wiccans may light candles, decorate evergreen trees, and exchange gifts during this sabbat. These are the major sabbats that Wiccans will celebrate in 2023. Each sabbat offers an opportunity for spiritual growth, connection to nature, and celebration of the cycles of life. The workshops were poorly planned and the presenters seemed unprepared. Additionally, the atmosphere was lacking. It seemed like there was no effort put into creating a magical ambiance, which is the whole point of attending a Wiccan event. Overall, I had high expectations for Wiccan sabbar 2023, but it fell short in every aspect.
2. Michael - 1 star - The Wiccan sabbar 2023 event was a total waste of time and money. The promotional material promised a unique and immersive experience, but it was far from that. The workshops were uninformative, with presenters who lacked expertise and knowledge. It felt like I was attending a beginner's workshop rather than an event aimed at experienced Wiccans. The organization was a mess and the event lacked cohesion. I left feeling frustrated and regretful for investing in such a subpar event.

The workshops were unimpressive and repetitive, covering the same basic topics that have been covered numerous times before. The vendors were limited and offered little variety. The event failed to bring anything new or exciting to the table, and it felt like a missed opportunity for the Wiccan community. I hope that future events will be better curated and offer more diverse and engaging experiences for attendees.
