A Magical Cirque Christmas (Touring) Tickets

This show was way overpriced for the quality of the performance. The acts were not professional and some of the performers weren't even in costume. Would not see it again.

The show had some highpoints including the bicyclist and aerial acts, but lacked the wonder and magic I was expecting. The frequent video transitions between time periods was absolutely grating and migraine inducing to the point where I closed my eyes and covered my ears. The magical hostess was delightful, gorgeous and hilarious, but her segments went too long and felt like time fillers with silly magic tricks. Expected more "cirque" in a Cirque de Soleil show. It was disappointing.

We left after 30 minutes. The actors didn’t even seem like they wanted to be there.

Hard to see from second level, monitors/screens could have been better utilized for activities on stage. Poor visibility and not typical cirque experience.

A magical cirque Christmas was truly magical. The young cast was able to transport the audience to a different type of performance. The feats of daring were breath-taking, and the emcee or "ringmaster" for the evening was hilarious.

Two stars. The premise was juvenile, although it seemed to have been well received by all the kids in the audience. The performance hall was disappointing, but I accept responsibility for that because of the seat choice. As a special evening for my wife and I, it was not.

We took mom and stepdad. Very good show! Maybe not to the level of Cirque Du Solei, but surprisingly close. Good variety of performers, really impressed.

The Magical CIRQUE Christmas ads showed what appeared to be performers from Cirque du Solei; however, this was actually a pretty poor magic show interspersed between Lucy Darling talking to plants in the audience about one-third of the show time. The rest of the show featured performances from not quite ready for prime time players, including jugglers who kept dropping items and chasing around the stage, trying to catch errant throws. There were two good performers but, although they were very good, they couldn’t come close to carrying the show. Miss this not so funny comedienne who hijacked the CIRQUE name and go to a real Cirque du Solei show or take in Esther’s Follies in downtown Austin for a much better show at a fraction of the price. The magician there, Ray Anderson, blows away Lucy Darling.

Five of my family agree, the red-headed woman who did a lot of talking was un-funny and boring. That being said, there are many talented performers in this show. To label it "magical" was a stretch, we thought there would be much more "magic" content and less acrobatics. So we would call it a mixed bag . some hidden gems in terms of performers, like the cycling dude and the hula-hoops guy. They were awesome and I could have watched them all night. An then there was way too much of the boring red-headed woman. Nearly the whole portion of the show after intermission was a waste. Too much talking and singing, not enough action.

I was really excited to read "What is the Talisman About" as I had heard great things about the author. However, I was left disappointed. The story lacked depth and the characters felt one-dimensional. The plot was predictable and there were no surprising twists or turns. Overall, I found the book to be quite mediocre and it didn't live up to my expectations.
2. Thomas - 2/5
I couldn't get into "What is the Talisman About" at all. The writing style felt forced, and there were too many unnecessary details that didn't add anything to the story. The pacing was off, with slow moments dragging on and action scenes feeling rushed. I also found it hard to connect with the characters as they lacked development and their motivations were unclear. I was hoping for a gripping and engaging read, but unfortunately, this book fell short for me.

"What is the Talisman About" was a complete waste of time in my opinion. The plot was unoriginal and I had a hard time staying interested in the story. The dialogue was uninspiring and the characterization was weak. The book had potential, but it didn't deliver. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for a captivating and memorable read.

I found "What is the Talisman About" to be quite underwhelming. The writing style was straightforward and lacked finesse. The world-building was minimal and I couldn't fully immerse myself in the story. The romantic subplot felt forced and unnecessary. While the concept had potential, the execution fell flat. Overall, I was left feeling unsatisfied and I wouldn't recommend this book to fellow fantasy lovers.
