Embracing Your Unique Witch Color: Lessons from Real Witches

What color witch am I As I gaze into the mystical realm of witchcraft, I cannot help but wonder what color witch I am. In a world filled with an array of magical possibilities, it is fascinating to explore the idea of associating certain colors with different types of witches. One popular belief is that the colors black and purple are often associated with witches. Black, a color often associated with mystery and power, represents the darker side of witchcraft. It is the color of the night, when witches are said to gather and cast spells under the moon's watchful eye. Purple, on the other hand, is a color often associated with magic and spirituality.

Finally, I stumbled on the term ‘cottage witch’, (I couldn’t tell you where), and it stuck. This was it, this was my word, the description that perfectly summarized my spiritual needs and beliefs. I remember feeling that this term described my practice and spiritual beliefs in a way that I hadn’t previously been able to put into words.

For example, you might be drawn to green witchcraft and herbalism if you are an avid gardener or you might be interested in Druidism if you have Celtic roots. There s even a cauldron and a bag of crystals you can t identify collecting dust in your closet, because once you got them, you realized you aren t sure what to do with them or if they even resonate with you.

However, it is important to remember that the color of a witch is not solely defined by black and purple.

Witchcraft, like any other spiritual practice, is diverse and individualistic. Different witches may resonate with different colors depending on their personal beliefs, intentions, and experiences. For instance, some witches may find themselves connected to the color green, which represents nature, growth, and healing. These witches may have a deep affinity with plant magic or may choose to work with herbs and natural remedies in their spellcasting. Others may identify as blue witches, drawing their power from the realm of emotions and intuition. Blue, a color associated with calmness and tranquility, reflects the soothing and compassionate nature of these witches. They may specialize in spells related to emotional healing or use divination tools to tap into the hidden depths of the human psyche. There are also witches who resonate with the color white, a symbol of purity and spirituality. These witches may practice light magic, focusing on healing, protection, and bringing positive energy into the world. They may work with angels or ascended masters, seeking guidance and enlightenment. Ultimately, the color witch that I am may be a unique blend of these different associations. As a witch, my power comes from within, and it is up to me to explore and discover the colors that resonate with my own soul and spiritual path. In the end, the color witch that I identify as is of little consequence compared to the intention and authenticity that I bring to my craft. It is the energy and love that I infuse into my spells and rituals that truly matters. So, instead of focusing on what color witch I am, I will embrace the rich tapestry of colors that exists within the world of witchcraft and embrace the magick that flows through me..
