The Ocean Witch by Katee Robert is a captivating tale that immerses readers in a world of magic, romance, and adventure. Set in the fictional island of Moonspell, this young adult fantasy novel follows the story of McKinley, a young woman with a dark secret. McKinley is known as the "ocean witch" due to her unique ability to control and communicate with ocean creatures. Despite being treated as an outcast by her village, she embraces her powers and uses them to navigate the treacherous waters surrounding Moonspell. However, McKinley's life takes an unexpected turn when she rescues a mysterious man named Uriel from a shipwreck. It soon becomes clear that Uriel possesses his own set of abilities, and his arrival in Moonspell brings forth a dangerous chain of events.

After Keiko passes the bridge, she grabs a butterfly spirit from the top of a tree trunk. She then uses the spirit to open an enormous gleaming white door. She then enters the door, entering an archaic chamber.

After offering all of the scrolls from each fleshbag to their matching podiums, a glowing white barrier opens somewhere beneath the maze, and Keiko must find that door to escape. After Keiko finds and enters the now opened barrier, she then sees a stone eye with a red light emitting from it, when she approaches it, she gets teleported to the second part of The Witch Trials, that being The Forest.
