The bird and the bee witch is a traditional folktale that has been passed down through generations. It tells the story of a bird and a bee who become unlikely friends and embark on a series of adventures together. The bird, named Flutter, was known for her beautiful singing voice and graceful wings. She lived in a cozy nest high up in a tall tree. One day, while Flutter was singing her heart out, a bee named Buzz happened to fly by. He was drawn to the melodious tunes and decided to investigate further.

And though the bird and the bee a collaborative effort between vocalist Inara George and multi-instrumentalist Greg Kurstin that blended the retro kitsch of classic Pop, Soul, Jazz, and Lounge music with modern electronics were one of my favorite Indie-Pop curiosities from the mid-to-late-00 s I had actually all but forgotten they existed by 2017 as well.

The Bird and the Bee is an American indie pop musical duo from Los Angeles, California, consisting of musicians Inara George ("the bird") and Greg Kurstin ("the bee"). Kurstin, a producer and keyboardist who has worked with artists such as Lily Allen, Kylie Minogue, Little Boots, Ladyhawke, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Beck, Barenaked Ladies, The Flaming Lips and Red Hot Chili Peppers, is also a member of the band Geggy Tah. George and Kurstin met while the two were working on her debut album and they decided to collaborate on a jazz-influenced electropop project.
