Essential Furniture for a Witch Doctor House in Terraria

By admin

The Terraria witch doctor house is a structure built specifically to house the witch doctor NPC in the popular sandbox game Terraria. The witch doctor is one of the many NPCs that players can encounter and interact with in the game. In order for the witch doctor to move into the player's world, they must first defeat the Queen Bee boss in the Underground Jungle biome. Once the boss is defeated, the witch doctor will become available to the player, ready to sell them various items and offer unique services. To provide a suitable home for the witch doctor, players can construct a house using different materials and creative designs. The house should meet specific criteria to be considered suitable for the witch doctor to move in.

Steps Taken:

I built a house in the jungle (I know it is a working house because I was able to set my spawn point in it).

Can anyone help resolve this problem?

EDIT: The problem was that I made the house of wood, and apparently wood is not a legitimate substance to make a house out of. Made it out of stone with a wood table and chair, and he spawned the next morning.

I have had thi problem before also. I just built the house in a different location and waited like 10-15 min and he spawned.

Have you killed Plantera? Witch Doctor should come after Plantera is killed (by finding a Plantera Bulb in the jungle which spawns him) but you are right that she needs a house in the jungle to live in so she can sell her products.

1 июн. 2014 в 16:52 I have no idea what it has to do with Queen Bee though. 1 июн. 2014 в 17:04 Автор сообщения: Fireball207

Not even in hard mode and I have the witch doctor.
Doctor's in a house in the forest and have products for sale (only 2, but still have some)

I did defeat the bee a few times though.

But yeah, make sure you have a few availible house and wait a bit, shouldn't take too long to spawn.

How do I make the Witch Doctor respawn? [duplicate]

My witch doctor died. What needs to be done or what criteria need to be met for him to respawn? I tried building an additional house to no effect.

The house should meet specific criteria to be considered suitable for the witch doctor to move in. These criteria include having a solid structure with walls, a ceiling, and a floor, all made of suitable building materials such as wood or blocks. The house should also have at least one entrance, a comfort item such as a light source, a table, a chair, and a background wall.

EDIT: My information about spawns was incorrect. It has been corrected.

The Witch Doctor only requires that the Queen Bee has been defeated and a house is available. Be sure that the Queen Bee has been defeated in the current world, and use the housing menu to check that the house is valid for NPCs. It may take a few game days for the WD to respawn after dying.

The information below regards the Witch Doctor having additional shop inventory in a jungle.

The Witch Doctor will only sell certain items in a jungle house (and again, only after the Queen Bee has been defeated). You have two options here:

  1. Build a permanent house for the Witch Doctor in the jungle. This is the easy option.
  2. Add mud blocks and jungle grass into an above ground house to make that area qualify as jungle. This is the more convenient option, but will take longer.

You'll be able to tell that the house is "jungle" because the background and music will change to the jungle theme.

Ever since i got the Witch doctor i've built him a valid house in the jungle.

There is a time when his off screen it will randomly say (name of witch doctor was slain), is this a bug? it does not happen to any other NPC in my world, I have the painter and dryad nearby and they don't suffer from this.

Nothing major but it can get a bit annoying when he randomly dies.

Did i do something wrong with his housing?

Even with three hallways deep worth of space and multiple doors between the jungle temple and my jungle house near it for teleportation convenience.

"Oh my god stop opening all the doors to ENTER THE TEMPLE"

The answer is often "NPCs are stupid"

Agreed LOL! It's time to make my first mansion-why did the NPC teleport up from the ground level to the roof? I haven't even assigned rooms yet-WHY DID THEY JUMP!? THEY HAD SO MUCH TO LIVE FOR!

But if you try to dig a hole under their feet so they fall safely down to another floor, oh, THEN they do everything they can to dodge drops.

Additionally, the house should be situated in the Jungle biome to ensure the witch doctor feels at home. Players have the freedom to design and customize the witch doctor's house according to their preferences. Some players may choose to create a simple, cozy hut for the NPC, while others may go for a more elaborate and grand design. The important thing is to meet the minimum requirements for the NPC to move in and feel comfortable. Once the witch doctor moves in, players can interact with them to purchase items such as the Bamboo Wall, Blowgun, and Tiki Torch. The witch doctor also provides unique services such as selling the Leaf Wings, an accessory that allows players to fly and glide. In conclusion, the Terraria witch doctor house is a specially designed structure that provides a suitable dwelling for the witch doctor NPC. Players can get creative and design their own unique houses to meet the requirements for the witch doctor to move in and provide various items and services to aid in the player's adventure..
