Either way it was the wrong way to do so, was far more life-risking than using a natural circuit, and any product made was pretty shoddy but it still technically worked. Shirou could use the fake circuit to reinforce objects and perform basic magecraft.

One day, while practicing his magecraft, Shirou accidentally taps into his high-quality magic circuits. The surge of power is overwhelming, and he quickly realizes that he possesses an incredible amount of magical energy. With this newfound source of power, Shirou embarks on a journey to uncover the truth behind his magical heritage.

Artificial Magic Circuits

So we know in the VN and in the anime, Shirou has been using his nerves to make artificial Magic Circuits. And according to canon, it was an incredibly stupid idea as not only was it the wrong way to do magic but it also risked the life of the user every time he did so. That's what everyone says.

But didn't it technically work?

Or is it like he had a normal circuit active but rather than use it he outsourced its function to his nerves?

Either way it was the wrong way to do so, was far more life-risking than using a natural circuit, and any product made was pretty shoddy but it still technically worked. Shirou could use the fake circuit to reinforce objects and perform basic magecraft.

So say your a magus with a normal magus mindset and far more talent who finds out about Shirou's method. You start to kidnapp some random muggle victims and convert their nerves into magic circuits over and over again untill they start improving in quality. Rip out the quality ones for yourself and walla you got yourself an artificial Circuit farming technique that you could possible sell to others.

Is the scenario above plausible? Cause I've seen a few fics that ran ideas like this

Nerve Damage is probably the most well known where shirou converts thousands of his nerves into low quality circuits which are still enough to summon 4 sabers. Though that's feels like more of a crack fic.

It was actually the SAO crossover fic Fate Revelation Online which got me thinking about this. In the fic one of the characters lacks actual circuits so Shirou teaches them to make their own. The game system then enables the character to improve the quality of the circuits and sort of preload spells into the circuits.

Given how magic crest work Im wondering if something like preloading spells into fake circuits is possible?

Im only asking because homunculi are artificial humans and they are made with artificial circuits so why could a talented magus make fake circuits for themselves.
