The mascot of the SF Giants baseball team is Lou Seal, a cheerful and lovable seal who entertains fans during games. Lou Seal has been the official mascot of the team since 1996 and has become a beloved symbol of the Giants' spirit and enthusiasm. Lou Seal can be found at every home game, high-fiving fans, dancing, and leading cheers. His energetic and playful personality helps create a fun and exciting atmosphere at the ballpark. Not only does Lou Seal interact with fans, but he also participates in various on-field activities and promotions. His presence adds an element of entertainment and joy to the game experience for both children and adults alike.

I ll admit, I would have never started watching the show if it wasn t for the picture of Lou Seal on the show page but I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed all 4 stories, not just Lou Seal s. Born on July 25, 1996, Luigi Francisco Seal has been a regular part of the Giants baseball home games and events around San Francisco, and the United States.

If you are anything like me, you are dying for baseball to start and the light at the end of the off season tunnel is an actual baseball game on the radio this Tuesday, March 3rd. You’ve been clinging to every tweet from the beat writers, every Kruk and Kuip show on KNBR and every article you can find that has meaningful baseball content. Today I found something else to cling to: our goofy and lovable mascot Lou Seal.

San Francisco Giants fans are known for being a very passionate bunch who live and breath for our team. We love guys like Buster Posey and Hunter Pence for their amazing talents but also their love for the game and commitment to excellence on and off the field. Thanks to the Hulu Original Series “Behind the Mask” I’ve learned that our awesome mascot Luigi Francisco Seal (I bet you didn’t know that was his full name!) is just as passionate as the fans and just as committed to excellence as the players.

The documentary series gives you a unique perspective into the lives of 4 different mascots and their different journeys, including the story of Joel Zimei who plays the role of Lou Seal at every San Francisco Giants home game. The thing I loved the most about this story is that he hasn’t ever missed a home game in 16 seasons with the San Francisco Giants. This is the longest streak for any major league mascot.

I’m not sure how many people have ever given a second thought to the person that wears the Lou Seal costume but it was really cool to learn about the guy responsible for our fun loving pal Lou Seal and how much he has invested in his job for 16 years.

I’ll admit, I would have never started watching the show if it wasn’t for the picture of Lou Seal on the show page but I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed all 4 stories, not just Lou Seal’s. I would highly recommend checking out the series not just for San Francisco Giants fans but any sports fans.

And the next time you see Lou Seal, give him your best high five and tell him thanks for all of the World Series luck he’s brought us. When you watch the show you will know why!

I am not a fan of the SF Giants baseball team mascot. I find it to be unappealing and quite frankly, a little creepy. The oversized head and cartoonish features just don't do it for me. It also doesn't help that the mascot's name is Lou Seal, which I think is a bit cheesy. Overall, I think the mascot could use a complete redesign to make it more likable and less off-putting.

I don't understand the hype surrounding the SF Giants baseball team mascot. I think the costume is poorly designed and lacks creativity. It looks like a generic seal costume you could find at any party store. Additionally, the mascot's antics during the games are predictable and uninspiring. It feels like they're just going through the motions without adding any excitement to the game. I'm not impressed and would rather see a new mascot that brings more energy to the stadium.

While I don't hate the SF Giants baseball team mascot, I can't say that I love it either. It's just average in my opinion. The costume is decently made, and the character does interact with the crowd during games, which is a plus. However, I feel like the mascot lacks a distinct personality or charm. It doesn't leave a lasting impression or make me excited to see it at the games. Overall, it's a forgettable mascot that could use some improvements to stand out from the crowd.
