On September 5, 2023, my 2020 BMW sustained damage while being washed inside the car wash at the Lenoir City, TN location. I reported to an employee named " *****" and he retrieved the broken item from my car out of the car wash tunnel. He said that he would file a claim, but the printer wasn't working. On September 9/09/2023 an estimate of $491.35 from the BMW dealership was taken to that location and the district manager Mr. ***** ***** said that a claim was filed. I called Mr. *****, and he will not respond to my calls or text me back as of today September 18, 2023. I have paid the BMW dealership $491.35 for the repairs to my car. I just want to be paid back or at least be treated in a professional manner and get a return call.

Brought my brand new truck to Puremagic carwash, the rear drivers side front tire's plastic mud flap was torn off. Filed a damage claim report with the company, have not been contacted back and are unable to speak with the dept. that handles the claims as the gerneral customer service doesn't have or is failing to provide this information so I can get a quick resolution to this matter. Spoke with customer service 2 times and currently waiting for a supervisor to call back. I believe I am getting the run-around and would like this to be resolved. thanks

I want to re-iterate that I spoke to their female employee prior to entering the carwash. She assured me no damage would be incurred to the car. She was also going to make sure the brushes were turned off. The brushes were left "On", which resulted in damaging both sides of the vehicle.

On June 9, 2023 I went through the car wash. I heard a pound bang and immediately knew something happened to the back of my car. I pulled out of the wash and saw dents to the back of my hatchback. I asked for the manager and he said he couldn't help me, he was the only one working. This was not true bc just a minuet later another employee came out. The manager was not nice or helpful. I contacted my insurance and had a auto body shop and an adjuster both verify that my bike rack did not cause this damage. It has been two months and Pure Magic has not called me back or my insurance adjuster. This company has not been responsible or responsive with this case at all.

I took my car through Pure Magics car wash in lenoir city this past week. While in the car wash my third brake light was tore off by the brush, It came down and smacked my windshield almost breaking it as well. My kids were terrified, they didn’t know what was happening. When we got out I went and told and attendant who went in to get the part of my car only to bring it back in several pieces. I filled out an incident report only to be told they will not cover the damage caused by their car wash stating “they were unable to find any equipment malfunctions causing the damage” yet stating the blower took it off. The blower still being “their equipment” I requested to see the video since that’s the only evidence but of course I have no response yet. Their equipment tore my entire third brake light off and they are refusing to fix the damage. it’s unfair, and awful morals in a company to make a mother struggle to fix the car their machines tore up.

Business response

06/27/2023

After reviewing video footage once more, PureMagic Car Wash stands behind the decision to not accept responsibility for this claim. Our equipment functioned as intended and no other vehicles before or after Ms. ******** vehicle sustained damage. Based on video evidence, the air dryers on-site did not act abnormally and did function as designed. PureMagic Car Wash is an "Enter at your own risk facility" Posted signage at our pay stations state, we are responsible for a "Car Wash Malfunction only".

Customer response

06/28/2023

I am rejecting this response because:
the blower is in fact your equipment which cause the entire spoiler/break light to be ripped off. you just don’t want to pay for what your equipment did. So i’ll take different action and i’ll be speaking with a lawyer.
Sincerely,

March 18th I was charged for my monthly membership. I chose to cancel my membership on that day with the understanding that I would not get my money back but I would still be able to use the services for a month. I went to the location where I was no allowed in because my pass said I had no active plan. Called corporate for them to say everything was fine and that I should have access. I went again a few days later and still was denied access. Called corporate again and was assured that my plan was active. Repeated this process again with the same results. Called corporate again and was told a manager would reach out to me within 10 business days and that was at the beginning of April, it is now the middle of May. I was told my money would be refunded. Yet, the money has not been refunded and they have now changed my account AGAIN. I was pleased with this car wash until this has happened and the only reason I canceled my plan is because it is too far for me to drive now. I want my money back totaling $59.98.

On Wednesday March 8th I was involved in an accident inside the carwash tunnel which resulted in damage to my vehicle. The car infront of me got lodged and stuck, my vehicle was in neutral on the track and was pushed into the vehicle in front. There was no way for me to avoid this incident. I honked my horn as their sign states when I noticed an issue but the employees were not paying close enough attention and did not stop the machine in time. I pulled out of the machine to give my information and the other vehicle took off. The company refuses to give me the license plate of the other vehicle involved which the employees have clearly stated they have on video. The company also denies any responsibility and denied my damage claim. I had to call the customer service number several times for them to even get me an email sent saying they won't cover the damages. But they will not tell me why they are not responsible at all or at fault. I visited the location and spoke with the manager on duty and he advised the District manager would call me the following day. I've asked for the customer service supervisor and I'm told they will call me back but they never do. I've left voice-mails for the operations managers on the damage claim form. Nobody from this company will call me back and explain anything. This is a very poor way of doing business.

Our Damage Claim office and District Manager have been in contact wit* *** ******* multiple times today 3/16/2023. On the date of the incident *** ******r filed a claim at our Maryville location with the staff on-site. *** ******r also stated on 3/8/23, the day his vehicle was involved in this incident that his vehicle did not sustain any damage. *** ******r also signed our form confirming this. As of today 3/16/23, *** ******r requested that the local police department review video and document the other involved vehicles license plate information, which we were happy to provide. Our team members constantly monitor the wash process to provide the best service possible however, we cannot be held responsible for active driver engagement during the wash process or for failing to follow clearly stated and displayed instruction. Our determination to deny the claim based on the above facts remain true. Our facility operated as intended and no malfunction occurred on our behalf or for that matter on *** ******r's behalf. The other party involved failed to follow instruction and caused the incident to occur. We have instructed *** ******r to notify his insurance company with the other drivers’ information to provide the best resolution for both parties involved. We take customer privacy very seriously and all claims that involve damage are reviewed to provide the best outcome for the parties involved. Attached above you will find the form signed by *** ******r and our Site employees stating no damages dated 3/8/23.

I am rejecting this response because: I never stated there was no damage to my vehicle. Pure magics employee filled the tablet and form out, not myself. He just simply asked me to look over my contact information and sign. You should probably have someone more trained than an 18 year old kid handling damage forms. I asked several times since this incident to speak with someone higher up, a manager, anybody in charge and was never contacted back even though i was told i would be. If you think a quick copy and paste email is sufficient enough to handle a situation, I find it extremely unprofessional. Why when I went in and talked to your assistant manager ******, he said ******* the DM would be calling me the next day? You hide behind a computer and handle business through email instead of addressing the situation. I see a lot of policy, procedure, and training issues that would have prevented this issue and many others. If you do some research there are many complaints very similar to mine. The police officer laughed when I asked how many reports they file at the carwash. Clearly there is room for improvement on this poorly run business, starting with communication and response time. Why is there no policy to leave an adequate amount of space between loading vehicles? This issue could have Been prevented had there been. Your employees motion people forward one on top of another I've witnessed everytime. How about having someone stand by the shut off button or watching cameras next to a button so if a problem arises they can shut it off in a timely fashion. I've witnessed several times 5 or 6 employees just standing in the room talking and only one person on the track loading vehicles. Nobody is paying attention. I'm in the business of customer service and doing the right thing. This one needs work. And I for one am excited for the 3 new car washes coming into town, hopefully they know how to treat a customer and handle business in a professional manner.

Reviews for "Pure Magic Car Wash in Maryville, TN: The Art of Car Washing"

1. John Doe - 1 star
I had a terrible experience at Pure Magic Car Wash in Maryville. The customer service was appalling, with the staff being rude and unhelpful. They did a poor job of cleaning my car, leaving streaks and smudges all over. The prices were also outrageous for the subpar service they provided. I will definitely not be returning to this car wash.
2. Jane Smith - 2 stars
I was quite disappointed with my visit to Pure Magic Car Wash in Maryville. While the exterior of my car was relatively clean after the wash, the interior was left untouched. I specifically asked them to vacuum and wipe down the interior, but they completely neglected that request. The lack of attention to detail and poor customer service really left a sour taste in my mouth. I would not recommend this car wash to others.
3. Michael Johnson - 2 stars
I visited Pure Magic Car Wash in Maryville, hoping for a thorough cleaning of my vehicle. However, I was let down by the quality of their work. They missed spots on my car, particularly around the wheels, and they didn't properly dry it, leaving watermarks. Moreover, the employees seemed disinterested and unprofessional. For the price I paid, I expected a much better experience. I won't be returning.
4. Sarah Thompson - 1 star
I regret choosing Pure Magic Car Wash in Maryville. The wash itself was mediocre at best, with my car still looking dirty in some areas afterwards. Additionally, when I complained to the staff, they dismissed my concerns and showed no interest in rectifying the situation. It's clear that they prioritize quantity over quality in their service. Save yourself the disappointment and choose a different car wash.
