50 Cent Reflects on 'Get Rich or Die Tryin' and the Unheard Trina Collaboration
Over the past year, 50 Cent has been doing some reflecting on his classic 2003 LP Get Rich or Die Tryin’ – whether that be through his The Final Lap Tour or sporadic interviews he’s done on the subject.
The latter is what took place recently. During a sit-down with Apple Music at his final London 02 concert for the album, the Queens rapper revealed that his 2003 single “Magic Stick” was originally meant to feature Trina rather than Lil’ Kim and was supposed to make the LP.
“[‘Magic Stick’] was written for Get Rich or Die Tryin’. And then it didn't make it. I wrote that record intentionally to work with Trina. I sent it to Trina," 50 told Rebecca Judd on the Apple Music show. "They fucked up the record, they sent it back. Fucked up. They had the lyrics and everything on it and they messed it up. Then Gee Robeson came and got it from me, heard the record and was like, 'Yo, I need this. I need this for Kim. I need it.'"

50 also admitted that “Magic Stick” helped Kim remind fans of the more classic sex appeal she presented during her time at Atlantic Records when much of her earlier material was written by The Notorious B.I.G.
"And she had made a good record, but she made it. Didn't have the formula that Biggie created for her to have success in our culture," he added. "It didn't have the sexuality, it was like [sings “The Jump Off"]: ‘I been gone for a minute now I'm back at the jump off. Goons in the club in case somethin' jumps off.’ The record with her and Mr. Cheeks, but it didn't tap into what he was doing when he designed what Kim was. ‘Magic Stick’ was spot on for her. That was the right thing."

- John - 2 stars - The Magical Seaside Lodge in Vilano was a huge disappointment for me and my family. First of all, the photos on the website are extremely deceiving. The lodge looked much more spacious and luxurious in the pictures, but in reality, it was quite cramped and outdated. The furniture was worn and uncomfortable, and the amenities were lacking. The worst part was the cleanliness, or lack thereof. The floors were dirty, there was a weird smell throughout the lodge, and the bathroom was simply unsanitary. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable seaside vacation.
- Sarah - 1 star - I had such high hopes for the Magical Seaside Lodge in Vilano, but it turned out to be a complete disaster. The customer service was terrible right from the start. The staff was unhelpful and rude, and they seemed to have no interest in addressing our concerns or making our stay more enjoyable. The lodge itself was in a state of disrepair. The paint was chipping, the carpets were stained, and there were bugs in the kitchen. It was clear that no effort was being made to properly maintain the property. To top it all off, the noise from the neighboring properties was unbearable. We couldn't get a good night's sleep throughout our entire stay. I would strongly advise against staying at this lodge if you value comfort and peace and quiet.
