About the Author
MARY POPE OSBORNE is the author of the New York Times number one bestselling Magic Tree House series. She and her husband, writer Will Osborne (author of Magic Tree House: The Musical), live in northwestern Connecticut with their three dogs. Ms. Osborne is also the coauthor of the companion Magic Tree House Fact Trackers series with Will, and with her sister, Natalie Pope Boyce.
SAL MURDOCCA has illustrated more than 200 children's trade and text books. 1. Jessica - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with "Magic Tree House Halloween". I have been a fan of the series for a while, but this book just didn't live up to my expectations. The storyline felt rushed and shallow, and I couldn't connect with the characters. The Halloween theme was also poorly executed, with minimal excitement and suspense. Overall, this book lacked the usual magic and charm that I have come to love from the series.
2. Michael - 1 star - I found "Magic Tree House Halloween" to be incredibly boring. The plot was predictable, and the characters were one-dimensional. There was no real sense of adventure or mystery, which is what I enjoy most about the Magic Tree House series. Additionally, the writing style was lackluster and uninspiring. I was hoping for a spooky and thrilling Halloween adventure, but instead, I was left feeling uninterested and let down.
