Posting about Kalin and Jinger reminded me of another great magic show I saw in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee when I was there a little while ago.

I saw The Magic of Terry Evanswood, and the show was aboslutely wonderful. He probably isn't that well known, but he is a very, very talented performer. He and his assistants performed a wide variety of magic, from grand illusion to manipulation to comedy routines.

He also stepped down off the stage after the show and talked to people (it was a morning show so there weren't that many people in the theater). I think the thing that struck me most about his show was that everyone seemed very personable and friendly. It wasn't the typical audience-performer relationship; he made friends with his audience.

And he also allows people to take pictures during the performance. (Though you can't videotape it.)

If you're ever in Pigeon Forge I would HIGHLY recommend you see his show.

"If you achieve success, you will get applause, and if you get applause, you will hear it. My advice to you concerning applause is this: Enjoy it, but never quite believe it."

I have known Terry since I was 13.
I was on a show with him last year
and saw his current show then and I must
say he's grown into quite a showman.
His show is good for both the late audience,
and the well knowledge magician.
Gives a great introductory for people with
little knowledge of Magic History.

His assistants and him has a very well
done routine. Tammy has been with the show
ever since I can remember and TJ who I
only met a year ago has really adepted well
into the stage magic arena.

Terry is a good friend and has really
done a great job with his show. I to
recommend him.

I've seen Terry's show in Pigeon Forge. He really should put TJ in the stretcher or twister.

I saw him awhile back, and the show was really good. I spoke with him afterwards and he's a very knowledgeable and personable guy. Mentioned he was going to be performing in Chicago on Halloween night, might have to drive up there and see his 'big show.' (said he was bringing his cat)

Reviews for "Terry Evanswood's Magic: A Blend of Skill, Showmanship, and Wonder"

1. John Doe - 1 out of 5 stars - The Magic of Terry Evanswood was highly disappointing. The tricks performed were cliché and unimpressive, failing to captivate the audience. The lack of originality was evident throughout the entire show, leaving me bored and unentertained. The stage presence of Terry Evanswood was also lacking, making it difficult to connect with the magician or the illusions being presented. Overall, I would not recommend this show to anyone seeking a memorable and engaging magic experience.
2. Jane Smith - 2 out of 5 stars - I had high hopes for The Magic of Terry Evanswood, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. While some of the illusions were mildly impressive, the overall performance lacked cohesion and creativity. The pacing felt off, with long gaps between tricks that disrupted the flow of the show. Additionally, the stage setup was unremarkable, making it difficult to fully appreciate the illusions. Overall, I found the performance underwhelming and would not attend another show by Terry Evanswood.
3. Mike Johnson - 2 out of 5 stars - The Magic of Terry Evanswood could have been more captivating if the tricks were executed flawlessly. Unfortunately, there were several instances where the illusions were poorly executed or predictable. The lack of attention to detail and precision took away from the overall magic experience. While Terry Evanswood had a charismatic stage presence, it was not enough to salvage the show from its shortcomings. I expected more from a renowned magician like Evanswood and left feeling disappointed and unimpressed.
4. Sarah Thompson - 2 out of 5 stars - The Magic of Terry Evanswood had its moments, but overall the show lacked the wow factor. Some of the illusions seemed outdated and failed to elicit any sense of wonder. The pacing of the performance was also inconsistent, with some tricks feeling rushed while others dragged on for too long. Additionally, the lack of audience interaction made it difficult to feel engaged with the show. While Terry Evanswood showcased some talent, it was not enough to make this an exceptional magic experience.
