Lyman Orange Magic Bullet Lubricant: The Choice of Champions

By admin

Lyman Orange Magic Bullet Lube is a popular choice among shooters and reloaders for its excellent performance in reducing barrel leading and improving bullet accuracy. This particular lube is known for its distinct orange color, making it easy to identify when applying it to the bullet. One of the key benefits of using Lyman Orange Magic Bullet Lube is its ability to minimize fouling and leading in the barrel. This is particularly important for those who shoot high-velocity loads or cast bullets. The lube forms a barrier between the bullet and the barrel, preventing molten lead and other debris from sticking to the barrel's surface. As a result, shooters can enjoy longer shooting sessions without having to worry about excessive fouling and leading.

BYU chemistry demonstration with a touch of magic

As a result, shooters can enjoy longer shooting sessions without having to worry about excessive fouling and leading. Another advantage of this lube is its compatibility with a wide range of bullet types, including lead, plated, and jacketed bullets. Whether you are shooting handgun or rifle rounds, Lyman Orange Magic Bullet Lube can be applied to the bullets with ease, ensuring smooth feeding and reliable performance.

Auditory Risk of Chemistry Demonstrations

Dr. Jeff Macedone, of the BYU Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, approached us about making measurements of exploding balloon demonstrations that were highlights in chemistry lecture courses and in popular outreach shows. These balloons, usually filled with stoichiometric mixes of hydrogen and oxygen or acetylene and oxygen, create a large acoustic impulse. Because sound levels over 140 dB can be instantly damaging to the ear, it is important to characterize the balloons in order to quantify auditory hazard and develop safety guidelines. We began a collaborative project that began with the hydrogen-oxygen balloons, and then moved to the acetylene-oxygen balloons, and then to other demonstrations, such as methanol cannons and nitrogen triiodide mixes. We found that many demonstrations exceed the 140 dB threshold at reasonable distances and therefore require hearing protection, larger audience standoff distances, or other mitigative measures. We emphasize that each of these demonstrations continue to be performed at BYU and the purpose of our papers was to simply demonstrate the need for caution. In many courses, we purchase earplugs in bulk and the students are trained on their proper use before handing them out and doing the demonstrations.

The orange color of this lube also makes it highly visible, allowing shooters to easily see if the bullets have been properly lubricated. This is particularly useful when loading large quantities of ammunition, as it helps to prevent any missed or improperly lubed bullets from entering the reloading process. In terms of application, Lyman Orange Magic Bullet Lube can be used by either dipping or pan lubing methods. The lube melts at a low temperature, allowing for easy application and ensuring that it does not damage the bullet. Furthermore, the lube does not harden or become brittle, even in colder temperatures, making it suitable for various shooting conditions. Overall, Lyman Orange Magic Bullet Lube is a highly regarded product in the shooting community. Its ability to reduce barrel leading, compatibility with different bullet types, and ease of application make it a popular choice for shooters and reloaders alike. Whether you are a competitive shooter or a recreational plinker, this lube can help improve the performance and accuracy of your bullets..

1. Jane - 2 stars
I was really disappointed with the Lyman Orange Magic Bullet Lube. The packaging looked promising, but the product itself was a letdown. It didn't work as effectively as I had hoped in preventing bullet fouling and leading. I ended up with more cleaning to do than before. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this product to fellow shooters.
2. Mark - 1 star
The Lyman Orange Magic Bullet Lube was a complete waste of money. It didn't perform as advertised and actually caused more issues than it solved. The lube seemed to attract more dirt and debris, resulting in a messier shooting experience. I regret buying this product and would advise others to stay away.
3. Sarah - 2 stars
I expected great things from the Lyman Orange Magic Bullet Lube, but it just didn't live up to the hype. The consistency of the lube was off, making it difficult to apply evenly. It also seemed to gunk up my firearm faster than other lubes I've tried in the past. I couldn't notice any significant improvement in accuracy or ease of shooting. I wouldn't purchase this product again.
4. Mike - 1 star
I had high hopes for the Lyman Orange Magic Bullet Lube, but it fell short in every aspect. The lube didn't seem to have any positive impact on the performance of my bullets. In fact, it made the reloading process more tedious, as the lube seemed to stick to everything. I found better alternatives in the market, and I won't be wasting my money on this product again.
