Lib Tech Magic BM Snowboard: A Game-Changer in Freestyle Riding - Review

By admin

The Lib Tech Magic BM is a freestyle snowboard that offers a playful and fun riding experience for all skill levels. This board is known for its versatility and ability to handle a variety of terrain and conditions. One of the standout features of the Magic BM is its Banana Technology, which consists of a rocker profile between the bindings and mild camber underfoot. This combo allows for easy turn initiation and a loose and playful feel, while still maintaining stability and control. The board's medium-soft flex adds to its playful nature, making it easy to press and butter, while still providing enough response for carving and jumping. The Magic BM also features Lib Tech's Magne-Traction edges, which are serrated for increased edge hold on icy and hardpacked snow.

Lib Tech Magic BM Snowboard

Mike Olson took everything he has learned about board design in the past 40 years and created the Magic BM, an amazing evolution of the Banana Magic. Founded on a dynamic “enhanced banana” C2 contour the BM floats effortlessly in powder. Its perfectly tuned cambers and deep sidecuts combine with the radical central rocker to set up incredible edge hold and carving on hardpack and ice. All this is combined with a very pow friendly, floaty, smooth low entry directional nose shape making this one a magically fun, dreamy, high performance snowboard. Horsepower Construction [HP]. 2024 Lib Tech Snowboards Overview

The following is a quick overview of the 2024 Lib Tech snowboards lineup.

First I will take a look at any new boards for the 2023-24 season, and any 2022-23 boards that aren't returning with a 2024 model.

Then I'll place each board into the categories where I see them fitting best and finally take a look at any changes for returning boards.

Lib tech magic bm review

The board's core is made from sustainably harvested wood, and the sidewalls are made from recycled materials. Riders who have used the Magic BM rave about its versatility and fun factor. It excels in the park, where its playful flex and rocker profile make it easy to hit jumps and jib rails. However, it is not limited to just the park, as it performs well on groomers and in powder too. The board's Magne-Traction edges provide excellent edge hold, even in icy conditions. Overall, the Lib Tech Magic BM is a great choice for riders who want a fun and versatile freestyle snowboard. Its rocker profile and medium-soft flex make it easy to ride and forgiving for beginners, while still providing the performance and control that more advanced riders demand..

Reviews for "The Art of Snowboarding with the Lib Tech Magic BM: A Review of its Design and Performance"

1. Alex - 2/5 - I had high hopes for the Lib tech magic bm, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. The board felt really heavy and clunky, making it difficult to maneuver on the slopes. The edge hold was also subpar, causing me to slip and slide on icy sections. Overall, I was disappointed with this board and wouldn't recommend it.
2. Emily - 1/5 - The Lib tech magic bm was a complete letdown for me. The flex of the board was way too stiff, making it almost impossible to initiate turns smoothly. It felt like I was fighting with the board rather than enjoying my ride. Additionally, I found the board to be quite unstable at higher speeds, which made me nervous while going down steep runs. I was really hoping to love this board, but it just didn't work for me.
3. Mike - 2/5 - As an experienced rider, I was excited to try out the Lib tech magic bm, but it left me underwhelmed. The board felt too stiff, resulting in a lack of playfulness and responsiveness. This made it less enjoyable to ride, especially in more freestyle-oriented terrain. The board also seemed to lack durability, as I noticed some chipping and cracking after just a few rides. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the magic bm and would choose other boards over it.
4. Sarah - 3/5 - While the Lib tech magic bm had some positive aspects, it fell short in a few key areas for me. The board's edge hold was decent, but I found it to be less stable than other boards in its category. The camber profile provided good pop, but the flex felt a bit too soft, making it less suitable for aggressive riding. Additionally, the top sheet seemed prone to scratching and chipping easily. While there were some positive aspects, I would recommend exploring other options before settling on the magic bm.
