The Nightmare Unleashed: A Review of Fnaf Help Wanted's Curse of Dreadbear Haunted Expansion

By admin

Fnaf Help Wanted Curse of Dreadbear haunted expansion is a popular video game expansion that is part of the Five Nights at Freddy's (Fnaf) series. This expansion was released in October 2019 and is filled with spooky and Halloween-themed content. It introduces new characters, levels, and challenges for players to experience. The main idea of this expansion is the haunted nature of the gameplay. Players are tasked with exploring a Halloween-themed haunted house called "Dreadbear's Shadow of Dread." Inside this house, they encounter various animatronic characters, including the menacing Dreadbear itself.

" Inside this house, they encounter various animatronic characters, including the menacing Dreadbear itself. The expansion features a range of new mini-games and challenges that test the player's survival skills against the haunted animatronics. These include collecting candy in a trick-or-treat challenge, defending against animatronics using a flashlight, and completing puzzles to progress through the haunted house.

My review of all the current Curse of Dreadbear minigames

This one is simple, but I like it. In Night 1, Only Jack O Chica and Jack O Bonnie are active. You're in the FNaF 1 Office, but it doesn't play like it at all. The doors are sealed shut but the animatronics will want to break them down. You have to stop them by using the door lights when they get to your office, or you can use the lights on the cameras when they are moving to reset them. Every use of the light drains 20% of power, and you can recharge it by pulling a lever, which will leave you in darkness for around 10 seconds. Overall, while simple and easy, I really enjoyed this minigame and it can get tense when you are recharging your power.

Spooky Mansion: Hallway

This minigame is intense. You need to crawl through a long hallway while the Nightmare Animatronics stalk you. Bonnie and Chica come out of doors on the left and right, respectively. Sometimes, lightning will flash and illuminate the room, revealing either nothing or Nightmare Foxy standing in your way. If you are moving after the lightning flashes (you have one second to stop) and he is there, he will charge at you and kill you. Nightmare Freddy is a timer, he stalks from behind and if you take too long, he will catch up and kill you. This minigame is fun and tense, but it can be a little unfair, especially if Chica or Bonnie block your way while Freddy is right behind you. Despite this, it's very fun and genuinely got me shaking

Spooky Mansion: Mangle

Here, you are tasked with building your own animatronic! There are 4 screens, each showing animatronic parts you need to grab off of two conveyor belts. There are quite a few, and the screens will switch between all the parts you need, but you can grab a needed part even if its not currently on the screen. There are also little Freddles that invade the conveyor belts. You need to shock them and throw them off the belt, or they will block your view. If you get at least 70% of the parts in the machine, you will win. If you put in 3 wrong parts in, you will be killed by Mangle. I really love this minigame. While not scary, it's a perfect blend of fast paced thinking and fun. This minigames fast paced tone and fun concept make it one I think I will return to many times. The only problem is that RNG can sometimes screw you over and not give you enough good parts, but it doesn't happen often.

Spooky Mansion: Trick or Treat

Spooky Mansion has the best selection of levels by far. Trick or Treat is no exception. In this game, you play as a young kid who just wants some candy on Halloween. You go up to the old mansion, but it's overrun by animatronics. Conveniently , you have masks of all 6 animatronics in the house: Mangle, Balloon Boy, Foxy, Chica, Freddy, and Bonnie. You have to watch the windows and by the time the door opens, figure out who is missing from the house. That animatronic will answer the door, and you have to put on their mask. If you're correct, you go on to the next round, and if you're wrong, you die. In Rounds 2 and 3, Mangle can block the window and you need to put on their mask to get them to leave. After Round 3, you are rewarded with lots of candy. This is probably my favorite minigame in the entire game, it feels like a Mario Party minigame of sorts, and watching the animatronics move around is fun in itself to be honest. Correctly guessing which animatronic is at the door is fun, and honestly, I have no complaints with this one.

Are You Afraid of The Dark: Plushkin Patch

After so many good minigames, it's a damn shame they had to include this. I despised the PlushBaby levels in the original, for being overly hard and just plain frustrating, especially if you forget one spot. Plushkin Patch is no different, featuring the same gameplay as the original minigame, just in a map that is arguably harder to find them in. I swear, I just got lucky when I won this and had them only spawn in easy to find spots. If there's one good thing in this minigame, it's the voice lines and the Mask-Wearing Plushbabies, both of which are cute.

You start in a pumpkin patch with a digital Balloon Boy clock. Three plushies of Circus Baby are hiding throughout the patch, each wearing a different animatronic mask. You can shine your flashlight around to find them, but you have to make sure to conserve battery power.

The expansion also introduces new characters, such as Grim Foxy and Jack-o-Chica, who add to the spooky and Halloween ambiance of the game. Each character has its own unique abilities and challenges, making the gameplay more diverse and thrilling. The Curse of Dreadbear expansion is well-received by fans of the Fnaf series for its immersive gameplay and festive atmosphere. It provides a new and exciting experience for players, especially during the Halloween season. The haunted nature of the expansion keeps players on the edge of their seats, continuously anticipating what surprises and scares await them. Overall, Fnaf Help Wanted Curse of Dreadbear haunted expansion offers an intense and thrilling gaming experience for fans of the Fnaf series. Its haunted house setting, new characters, and spooky challenges make it a favorite among players looking for a frightful adventure..

Reviews for "The Terrors Await: Surviving the Curse of Dreadbear Haunted Expansion in Fnaf Help Wanted"

1. Sarah - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with the "Fnaf Help Wanted Curse of Dreadbear Haunted Expansion." I found it to be repetitive and lacking in originality. The puzzles were simplistic and didn't offer much challenge, and the gameplay felt like a rehash of previous games in the franchise. Additionally, the haunted theme seemed forced and didn't really add anything exciting to the game. Overall, I was expecting more from this expansion and it left me feeling underwhelmed.
2. Mark - 1/5 stars - I have been a fan of the Fnaf series for a while now, but the Curse of Dreadbear Haunted Expansion was a major letdown. The graphics were subpar, the controls were clunky, and the storyline was incredibly weak. I found myself bored and uninterested within the first few minutes of playing. It felt like a lazy attempt to cash in on the franchise's popularity without putting in any real effort. Save your money and skip this expansion.
3. Lisa - 2/5 stars - I had high hopes for the Curse of Dreadbear Haunted Expansion, but unfortunately, it fell flat for me. The new animatronics introduced in this expansion lacked the scare-factor that made the original game so thrilling. The jump scares were predictable, and the overall atmosphere was not as terrifying as I expected. It felt like a watered-down version of the main game with nothing truly unique or memorable. I wouldn't recommend this expansion to anyone looking for a truly scary experience.
