So hit it with acid in any way you can. The Obelisk has construct properties such as 30 hardness, but if you are using spells, it shouldn't matter.
However, ND has a non-dispellable 50 concealment chance and 153AC buffed , so even with Trick Fate on your main damage dealers, you will not be able to hit reliably. Before you hunt down the last runestone although you really should be hunting for all of them simultaneously since there is no way to target a specific one , you need to do prep work again.
It leaves a trail of confusion and curiosity, captivating all who encounter it. The spell's nature is elusive, as if it is deliberately shrouding itself in secrecy. The effects of the acid spell are equally enigmatic.

Not sure if it's ever been pointed out, I did do a preliminary forum search but nothing about it turned up.
Anyway this is something I discovered lately. I left the grid up for locating purposes.
Right around that area are a bunch of squares connected in a bit of a zigzag that if I have the gravedigger's flame spell active and stand in one of those spots the fog overlay turns a creepy blood red.
For clarification purposes I currently have the *ahem* appropriate amulet equipped.
Not that it would be much of a spoiler to mention specifically really, but I like being all mysterious and obfuscative.
Edit: Startling new developments!
At X=15 Y=80 on the same map I found another spot and encountered an Acid grub.
The overlay would alternate between red and normal as the grub and I traded blows. That was entertaining.

It's a common "bug" in Crakamir. It has happened several times in my PC. It seems to happen when there is fog, although I didn't try to reproduce this in Vela.
I was able to reproduce this bug in Crakamir in plain daylight without Gravedigger's Flame every time I attacked an Acid Grubb.

Happened to me on the map that contains Tangletree Ossuary and somewhere in Crakamir, without Gravedigger's Flame, and on a Mac.
