Economical magic items in Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition, also known as 5e, offer players a chance to enhance their characters' abilities and have unique and exciting in-game experiences without breaking the bank. These magic items are designed to be affordable within the game's economy, allowing players to obtain them through various means such as finding them as loot, purchasing them from vendors, or receiving them as rewards. **Economical magic items** in 5e come in many forms, from **potions** that grant temporary buffs to **scrolls** that allow the use of powerful spells. These items often have limited uses or durations, making them cost-effective alternatives to more permanent and expensive magical items. One such example is the **Potion of Healing**, which provides a quick boost of hit points to the drinker. This versatile item can be a lifesaver in combat or a helpful tool for recovering after a long adventure.

Couples Costumes You Need to try This Halloween

There is no shortage of Halloween Spirit around here! Spencer and I have done couples costumes yearly since before we were married. It’s a tradition at this point. We usually try to add a little bit of craftiness in each outfit with a DIY element, but I’ve linked all the items we used, or similar store-bought pieces to make the costumes more ready-to-wear. Here are seven ideas to get your witch’s brew flowing for the next Halloween party.

Severus Snape and Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter

SHOP THESE HARRY POTTER COSTUMES

One of the reasons I love my mother-in-law is that she always throws good holiday parties. Halloween Spooktaculars are never forgotten, and she goes all out! This year will be our second time doing a murder mystery dinner party with her. The first year was Harry Potter themed, and Spencer and I were given Severus Snape and Bellatrix Lestrange as our dinner party characters. Each guest was dressed as a different fictional person and had a part in a role-play dinner to figure out who the “murderer” was. We had a blast dressing up in these couples costumes, and even included dark mark tattoos and wands!

Yzma and Pacha from The Emperor’s New Groove

SHOP THESE DISNEY COSTUMES

Last year, Halloween 2020, I went a little crazy creating various Disney villain costumes! One of the last-minute versions was a couples costume with my husband featuring Yzma and Pacha from The Emperor’s New Groove. Although the feather eyelashes had to be bought in advance, they truly made the costume. However, add some wrinkles with makeup, a little black dress, a poncho, and you can make this getup work in a pinch for a Halloween party!

Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy from SpongeBob Squarepants

SHOP THESE NICKELODEON COSTUMES

Yet another one of our do-it-yourself cosplays, we went as Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy one year. If you’re okay with scissors and construction paper, this costume will be a piece of cake to put together! We bought gloves to match the SpongeBob characters, but other than that, most of the items we had at our apartment ready to craft. We tried taking a photo with the Invisible Boatmobile, but it was wasn’t showing up in the pictures!

Wicked Witch of the West and Flying Monkey from Wizard of Oz

SHOP THESE WIZARD OF OZ COSTUMES

As mentioned before, I am practically the Queen of last-minute Halloween costumes! It’s really not unusual to find me throwing together an outfit the day of an event. I must have lucked out, because
I married a man that happened to come with a gorilla costume. I found some black and green striped tights that were extra witchy, and the rest is history! My Flying Monkey partner and I rode around on a four-wheeler (typical Utah stuff) while I laughed manically like the Wicked Witch of the West at trick-or-treaters.

Economical magic items 5e

This wand allows players to cast the Magic Missile spell without expending spell slots. Magic Missile is a reliable and versatile spell that hits automatically and ignores most forms of magical resistance. Having a wand that allows for multiple uses of this spell can greatly increase a player's damage output in combat without draining their spellcasting resources. **Scrolls** are also a common type of economical magic item. These one-time use magical spells allow players to cast spells that are not part of their regular spellcasting repertoire. Scrolls can open up new possibilities for players by giving them access to spells they wouldn't otherwise have, allowing for creative problem-solving and dynamic gameplay. While scrolls can be expensive, especially for higher-level spells, finding or looting them from enemies can be an affordable way to obtain magical abilities. In conclusion, economical magic items in 5e offer players a way to enhance their characters' abilities without breaking the bank. From potions and wands to scrolls, these items provide affordable alternatives to more permanent and expensive magical items. By incorporating these items into their gameplay, players can add variety, excitement, and strategic options to their characters' adventures..
