Wotch from Mercury The planet Mercury, named after the Roman god of commerce and messenger of the gods, is the closest planet to the Sun. It is also the smallest planet in our solar system. With a diameter of only 4,879 kilometers, it is slightly larger than Earth's moon. Due to its proximity to the Sun, Mercury is a challenging planet to observe and study. Nevertheless, scientists and astronomers have made significant advances in understanding this tiny world in recent years. One of the most distinctive features of Mercury is its extreme temperature variations.

Viola wakes up in the middle of a forest, and soon discovers that her only way out of the forest is completely blocked off by roses. Her only option is to enter a mysterious house nearby (the Witch's House) in hopes of finding some means of escaping. One of the most distinctive features of Mercury is its extreme temperature variations. During the day, when the planet faces the Sun, temperatures can soar up to a scorching 427 degrees Celsius (800 degrees Fahrenheit). However, at night, when the planet turns away from the Sun, temperatures can plummet to a frigid -173 degrees Celsius (-280 degrees Fahrenheit).

Plot [ ]

Viola wakes up in the middle of a forest, and soon discovers that her only way out of the forest is completely blocked off by roses. Her only option is to enter a mysterious house nearby (the Witch's House) in hopes of finding some means of escaping. Accompanied by a black cat, Viola must try to survive this magical and dangerous house.

As soon as Viola enters the house, seemingly consisting of two rooms, there will be a note reading, "COME TO MY ROOM." Afterward, the house will transform into the entire first floor, and Viola's adventure will begin. She has no other option than to obey the message, as the house has been locked at this point.

As Viola explores this house, she finds scattered diary entries made by the resident of the house, who is later recognized as a witch. It talks of a witch, named Ellen, and her deadly illness and neglect as a child, which prompted her to X her parents and become a witch upon forming a contract with a demon. The demon promised her that if she X more people and let him eat their souls, the demon would give Ellen a cure for her illness.

Throughout the house, Viola is forced to make cruel decisions in order to progress. This includes cutting the limbs off a teddy bear, feeding a friendly frog to a snake, and X a beautiful flower. Once Viola reaches the Medicine Room on the 5th Floor, she is able to obtain the Cute Little Bottle, which is able to destroy the witch's roses.

Such extreme temperature swings are due to Mercury's lack of atmosphere, which results in minimal heat retention. Another intriguing characteristic of Mercury is its slow rotation. Unlike Earth, which completes a full rotation in 24 hours, Mercury takes approximately 59 Earth days to complete a single rotation. This slow rotation is thought to be a result of tidal forces exerted by the Sun, causing the planet to become tidally locked. As a result, one day on Mercury lasts about 176 Earth days, which means that a day on Mercury is longer than its year. The surface of Mercury is heavily cratered, resembling the Moon's surface. These impact craters, created by asteroids and comets colliding with the planet's surface, give Mercury a pockmarked appearance. Mercury's surface is also marked by vast plains and cliffs, known as scarps, which are thought to be the result of tectonic activity. Despite its small size, Mercury has a surprisingly active geological history. In 2004, NASA's Messenger spacecraft was launched towards Mercury with the goal of studying the planet up close. After a journey of seven years, the spacecraft entered orbit around the planet in 2011 and began sending back valuable data and images. The Messenger mission provided scientists with unprecedented insights into Mercury's geological features, composition, and magnetic field, significantly advancing our understanding of this enigmatic planet. In conclusion, Mercury is a fascinating world with many unique characteristics. Its extreme temperature variations, slow rotation, heavily cratered surface, and active geological history make it a subject of great interest to scientists. With advancements in space exploration and technology, we can continue to unravel the mysteries of this tiny planet and gain a deeper understanding of our solar system's innermost worlds..
