I'm in the Final Four of the First Annual Generation SUNY Mascot Madness – the Final Four! Out of 30 SUNY campuses representing 472 athletic teams and over 220,000 students, I am in the fourth round against the Binghamton Bearcat!
Here's what my friends at SUNY Mascot Madness are saying about me:
"Wolfie the Seawolf from Stony Brook has been plenty busy supporting Stony Brook athletics during their winter tournament runs. A true professional no matter the event, Wolfie is sure to be a tough out."
Don't forget to cast your vote for your favorite mascot!
DRAFT: This module has unpublished changes.1. Where are you from?
I am a true Long Islander, born and raised in Stony Brook, NY, but I'm well-known around the country!
2. How many teams do you represent?
I represent 20 Varsity Sports that are members of the America East Conference and CAA (Football) along with the nationally recognized Spirit of Stony Brook Marching Band.
3. How were you chosen to be school mascot?
I have been a part of the Stony Brook family since 1995--just a year after the Stony Brook varsity teams became known as the Seawolves. The fourth nickname in Stony Brook history, Seawolves was selected from a list of more than 200 possible names by a 32-person committee comprising students, alumni, faculty, and administrators.
4. Do you have any friends that are mascots?
Of course! I am friends with all my fellow mascots in the America East Conference and I am looking forward to meeting new friends next year with our move to the CAA for football. I am also friendly with many of our fellow Long Island mascots in the professional leagues such as Quackerjack from the LI Ducks and Sparky the Dragon from the NY Islanders. In addition, during the summer of 2011 I was fortunate enough to be a part of the 2011 ESPN College Gameday commercial where I met many well-known, collegiate mascots!
5. What is your favorite campus event?
My favorite campus event would have to be homecoming which is known asWolfstock: Long Island's Biggest Backyard BBQ! Nothing is better than seeing all my Seawolves fans, alumni, and friends of the local community come together for a fun filled day at Stony Brook University!
6. What is your favorite food?
I like to wolf down everything that's put in front of me!
7. What is your favorite television or movie animal?
My favorite movie animal is the Big Bad Wolf.
9. What’s it like to be a mascot?
It’s the best job in the world! I get to meet so many different people and represent one of the greatest Universities - Stony Brook!
10. What do you consider the ideal fan?
I would have to say that the ideal fan is one who loves Stony Brook, gets their RED ON, goes to as many games as possible and roars with excitement every time we make a great play!

- Where are you from?
Where all the giant blue predatory cats are from, duh – the secret science lab located deep below SUNYIT’s 800 beautiful acres of land. - How many teams do you represent?
Officially 12, but I’ve always considered myself to be sort of a “Wildcat Pack of One,” so you could say 13. - How were you chosen to be school mascot?
I ate all the other candidates in a Hunger-Games-style survival exercise. The SUNYIT Administration believes in a highly competitive hiring process – it’s why they’re the best. - Do you have any friends that are mascots?
I like to keep work at work, so not really. Not sure if you’ve met many other mascots, but they can be a pretty rowdy bunch. Every now and again I’ll grab a deer or a couple sheep with my cousin at Cazenovia, but honestly, like many SUNYIT students, when I have a night off I prefer to spend it playing Halo with my computer science study group. - What is your favorite campus event?
I know they’d want me to say “Wildcat Weekend,” but truthfully? Thursday Night Bowling League (our team name is the WIIIILDcats). - What is your favorite food?
Morrisville Mustang, braised with just a hint of lemon. - What is your favorite television or movie animal?
Hands down the Lemur King from Madagascar. What an actor – I saw him do stand-up once before he made it big and it was pure genius. - What do you like to do for fun?
I know it’s clichéd, but I’m just a simple wildcat: I like chasing weak or sick animals, laying in that one small spot of sunlight that comes through the skylight in the living room, and posting under an alias to farm animal message boards to say things like “You know, I heard there’s this whole beautiful world outside the farm gates; in fact, my cousin Carl said we can easily hop the fence and just go wandering in the “wilderness” for a few hours if we like. He even said it’s best if we all just “split up” and go exploring for a couple of hours.” (And yes, “cousin Carl” is another one of my aliases). - What’s it like to be a mascot?
It’s great, but the morning commute is tough. I’m all for the eco-friendly stuff, but you try cramming into a Honda Civic when you’re 8-feet tall and weigh 600 pounds. And Janice wonders why I’m cranky every morning when I get to the office. But I love my job, and it’s rewarding to know that most days I’m the biggest reason why a little tech school in Upstate New York is still “cool.” - What do you consider the ideal fan?
Anyone who doesn’t shake that darn blue thing that I keep chasing in circles but can never catch. I swear it’s like this campus is full of magicians.

- Where are you from?
Born and raised right here at Tompkins Cortland Community College. My great-grandfather was the original Panther mascot over 40 years ago. My family has been cheering for TC3 ever since. - How many teams do you represent?
I cheer for all the teams, although they’re not big fans of me on the golf course. Mascots aren’t great at the golf clap. - How were you chosen to be school mascot?
It’s in my blood. My family has been here for decades, although up until a few years ago none of us had a name. It was always “hey you” or “here kitty, kitty” A couple years ago someone decided to I should have a name, so we had a contest on campus and someone came up with the best name ever – Pounce. - Do you have any friends that are mascots?
I’m friends with all other mascots – until the game starts! - What is your favorite campus event?
Anything where I can get out and meet some fans, especially the little ones. I love being able to give high fives to future Panthers! - What is your favorite food?
We have the best nachos at our concession stand! - What is your favorite television or movie animal?
Either the gopher from Caddyshack or Scooby Doo. - What do you like to do for fun?
My favorite thing to do is watch sports and help cheer my team on to victory. I also like to go on hikes, although I have to be careful during hunting season. - What’s it like to be a mascot?
It can be the best and the worst. It’s great to be part of a team, but it’s awful when we lose. - What do you consider the ideal fan?
Someone who is passionate about their team, but still shows respect for the other team, other fans, and refs.

Reviews for "Experience true bliss in a Carnival Magic outside cabin"
1. John - 1 star - The Carnival magic outside cabin was a nightmare experience for me. The cabin was small and cramped, leaving no space to move around comfortably. The noise from the surrounding cabins was constant, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. The bathroom was tiny and outdated, with a shower that barely had any water pressure. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the outside cabin on the Carnival magic and would not recommend it to anyone.
2. Sarah - 2 stars - I had high expectations for the Carnival magic outside cabin, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The cabin was smaller than I had imagined and lacked proper storage space for our belongings. The bathroom was outdated and in need of renovation. The noise from the hallway and neighboring cabins was disruptive, making it difficult to relax and enjoy our time onboard. I would advise others to opt for a different cabin option on the Carnival magic to avoid similar disappointments.
3. Robert - 1 star - My experience in the Carnival magic outside cabin was less than satisfactory. The cabin itself was cramped and outdated, with minimal amenities. The bed was uncomfortable and the noise from the ship's engine was constant, making it difficult to sleep peacefully. Additionally, the room had poor ventilation, resulting in a stuffy and unpleasant atmosphere. Overall, I was highly dissatisfied with the outside cabin on the Carnival magic and would not choose it again in the future.
