The Near Witch

All-new deluxe edition of an out-of-print gem, containing in-universe short story “The Ash-Born Boy” and a never-before-seen introduction from V.E. Schwab.

The Near Witch is only an old story told to frighten children.

If the wind calls at night, you must not listen. The wind is lonely, and always looking for company.

There are no strangers in the town of Near.

These are the truths that Lexi has heard all her life.

But when an actual stranger, a boy who seems to fade like smoke, appears outside her home on the moor at night, she knows that at least one of these sayings is no longer true.

The next night, the children of Near start disappearing from their beds, and the mysterious boy falls under suspicion.

As the hunt for the children intensifies, so does Lexi’s need to know about the witch that just might be more than a bedtime story, about the wind that seems to speak through the walls at night, and about the history of this nameless boy.

Part fairy tale, part love story, Victoria Schwab’s debut novel is entirely original yet achingly familiar: a song you heard long ago, a whisper carried by the wind, and a dream you won’t soon forget.

Reviews for "Unleash Your Imagination with Carnival Magic Excursions"

1. Jennifer - 2 stars
I was really disappointed with Carnival Magic Excursions. The tour guide seemed uninterested and didn't provide much information about the destinations we visited. The itinerary was also very rushed, leaving us with limited time to explore and enjoy each stop. Additionally, the transportation provided was uncomfortable and outdated. Overall, I feel like I didn't get my money's worth and I would not recommend Carnival Magic Excursions to others.
2. Brian - 1 star
I had a terrible experience with Carnival Magic Excursions. The entire tour felt like a sales pitch, where we were constantly pressured to buy souvenirs and participate in additional activities. The tour guide was unprofessional and didn't seem knowledgeable about the destinations. The attractions included in the excursion were also underwhelming and overpriced. I would advise anyone considering Carnival Magic Excursions to save their money and explore on their own instead.
3. Emma - 2 stars
Carnival Magic Excursions was a letdown for me. The group size was too large, making it difficult to hear the guide or ask questions. The tour felt overcrowded and rushed, with little time to truly immerse ourselves in the local culture. The lunch provided on the excursion was subpar and didn't meet my expectations. Overall, I would not choose Carnival Magic Excursions in the future and would suggest finding alternative options for a more enjoyable experience.
