The Wizard of Oz is a beloved children's book written by L. Frank Baum and published in 1900. One of the prominent characters in the story is the wicked witch of the north. Unlike the other witches in the book, such as the wicked witch of the west and the good witch of the south, the witch of the north is not given much detail or backstory. However, she plays a significant role in guiding Dorothy on her journey and providing helpful advice. The witch of the north is the one who tells Dorothy that she must seek out the wizard in the Emerald City to find her way back home to Kansas.

The witch of the north is the one who tells Dorothy that she must seek out the wizard in the Emerald City to find her way back home to Kansas. She presents Dorothy with the silver slippers, which are later changed to ruby slippers in the famous film adaptation. These slippers become a symbol of hope and power for Dorothy throughout her adventure.

In 1971, Lawrence Ferlinghetti published the first of four ever-expanding book versions in the Pocket Poets Series. In her last years, di Prima oversaw the final iteration of this lifelong project, adding poems written between 2007 and her death in 2020. This 50th Anniversary edition marks the long-awaited return of Revolutionary Lettersto City Lights.

1. John - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with "Wizard of Oz Witch of the North". The storyline felt very confusing and lacked depth. The characters were also quite forgettable and I couldn't connect with any of them. Additionally, the special effects were subpar and did not do justice to the magical world of Oz. Overall, I found the film to be uninspiring and would not recommend it.
2. Sarah - 1/5 stars - "Wizard of Oz Witch of the North" was a complete letdown for me. The acting was wooden and unconvincing, making it hard to stay engaged with the story. The plot itself was predictable and lacked any originality. The production design also felt cheap and unimpressive, especially when compared to other adaptations of the Wizard of Oz. Overall, I found the film to be a waste of time and would not recommend it to anyone.
