By admin

Witchcraft paint color is a rich and mysterious hue that evokes a sense of enchantment and intrigue. With its deep, dark undertones of black and undertones of purple, it creates a bewitching atmosphere wherever it is used. This deep, velvety color is perfect for creating a sense of drama and sophistication in any space. Witchcraft paint color can be used in a variety of ways to add a touch of magic to a room. It can be applied to walls to create a statement feature wall, or it can be used on furniture and accessories to add a touch of witchy elegance. Haint Blue and Witches Blue

Posted on July 24, 2017 July 25, 2017 by Barbara Mayfield

Haint Blue doing its job on the porch ceiling.

The whole Haint Blue thing passed right by me. As a child, I was not sent the memo about the protective power of color. I grew up in brick houses with no porches. I know! Somehow I survived this outrage.

And the Universe, being a benevolent force for good in spite of appearances, sent me a client last week who wanted soft earthy colors for the the trim and stucco of her stone house and a Haint Blue for her big front porch ceiling. She had to spell it for me.

It turns out that Haint Blue is the color one paints on their porch ceiling when protection from evil spirits, zombies and gnats is required. Mosquitoes, too, were said to be repelled by the color blue on a ceiling.

Paint repelled insects in the past when paint was made using smelly natural ingredients like lime, slime, rancid milk and crushed poisonous blue flowers or whatever. I’m not sure if acrylic and latex have the same affect on bloodsucking insects, but even modern day paint in a Haint Blue protects against the malevolent spirit world because the color blue is too over-the-top beautiful for them to abide.

(If blue on your ceiling is just not your speed, do something else gorgeous with it. There are no throw-away surfaces on a home. Make it lovely to look at.)

There is controversy in certain circles about which shade of blue in the true Haint. The good news is that one’s favorite light blue or aqua seems to work. The other good news is that a pale blue porch ceiling is charming and beautiful. It brings some sky onto our earthy stone, brick, stucco, adobe and wooden structures.

It seems that Haint Blue is often associated with porch ceilings in the more southerly locations, but there are many blues that work north of the Mason-Dixon line. Here are my recommendations for a few old-timey traditional blues that definitely qualify as Haints and that can work at any latitude: Galt Blue CW560, Ewing Blue CW585, and Chesapeake Blue CW595.

If you want a 21st Century update, try a sophisticated light-grey-green-blue: Nelson Blue CW635 or cooler mid-tone Greenhow Blue CW655.

Two other historic colors that may have been Haints back in the day: Yarmouth Blue HC150 and Palladian Blue HC144.

Other lovely Haints: Skylark Song 778, Morning Glory 785, Dolphins’ Cove.

On the aqua/teal side: Blue Seafoam 2056-60, Jamaican Aqua 2048-60, Seagrove 653.

I don’t know why a light rich periwinkle wouldn’t work: Jet Stream 814, Swiss Blue 815.

More about Haint Blue here. And here.

My New Mexico Witch Blue doors

In New Mexico, there is another protective blue known as Witches Blue. Forget about soft and pale. Witches Blue is a take-no-prisoners bright, rich cobalt —the color of the sky at 7000′ above sea level. All the doors of my adobe house were painted in Rocky Mountain Sky 2066-40. Sigh.

The Magical Door: Power Colors to Paint Your Entrance

In feng shui and the magical arts, your front door is known as one of the most powerful places in your home.

It’s literally the threshold where the energy from the outside world – visible and invisible – enters your home and becomes your own. Even if you don’t use your front door frequently, it’s the symbolic entry point of blessings and wealth.

In feng shui, the front door is known as the “mouth of chi.” Just like our actual mouths are the places where we receive nourishment that keeps us alive, our front door is the place where we receive the energetic and physical resources that keep our homes happy and healthy.

With that in mind, a front door color is sort of like lipstick: it draws attention to this power point and defines the energy in a particular way. Energetically, your front door color defines the vibration of your home and advertises the qualities of energy you want to call into your life. Painting your front door a vibrant color can work well whether your house is brick, natural wood, gray, white, beige, tan, brown, or anything else, and will help boost the unique visual appeal of your home.

In a number of feng shui schools of thought, the direction your door faces informs the shades you have to choose from. In my personal opinion and experience, following your intuition about what feels right to you overrides potential directional considerations.

Here are six auspicious and protective door color ideas and the meanings and magical properties they possess.

You might want to consider the meanings and magical properties associated with these door color ideas in when you choose the color you want to paint your door, or you may prefer to paint your door the color that calls to you most. Paint color choices can be a form of divination: your intuitive preference will indicate your subconscious magical intentions.

(Of course, if you can’t paint your door because you’re renting, don’t worry! While a freshly painted door can add a nice magical touch, it’s not a make-or-break scenario. But you may be surprised, and it doesn’t hurt to ask! Some landlords are open to the idea.)

Magical Door Color #1: Red

Red is a classic door color in feng shui. That’s because in feng shui, the color red is considered celebratory, successful, prosperous, and protective. A red door is one of the best door colors because it has a cheerful, radiant vibration that keeps negativity out and calls positivity in.

If you’re wondering what shade of red to paint your door, keep in mind that bright shades are considered the luckiest.

Magical Door Color #2: Blue

Blue is a favorite magical door color of legendary Witchcraft author Scott Cunningham. In his classic book The Magical Household, he recommends painting your door blue for protection. A blue door is one of the best door color choices for Witches and other magical practitioners, as it wards off negativity while inviting in harmony and peace.

If these magical qualities appeal to you, choose a bright royal or deep sapphire blue for your front door.

Magical Door Color #3: Purple

A purple door is a glorious, magical thing. In addition to enhancing wealth and prosperity vibrations in your home, a purple door invites in magic, synchronicity, and divine guidance. A purple front door helps anchor your magical worldview and preserves a sense that life is magical within your home.

Choose a vibrant purple for your front door in order to reap the most benefits from this color choice.

Magical Door Color #4: Black

A black door emanates elegance and promotes success, which is why feng shui considers it one of the best color choices for your front door. As the color of the water element in feng shui, a black front door helps align you with your most ideal career path and promotes a harmonious flow in work. If you’re focused on your career and life path at this stage in your life, black might be the front door color for you.

From a feng shui perspective, navy blue possesses similar properties to black, so you if these door color properties appeal to you, you might like to choose navy blue as an alternate.

Magical Door Color #5: Green

If you’re drawn to forests and the magical properties of plants and herbs, chances are good you’ll love having a green door. As the color of money and healthy greenery, a green door also calls in wealth and abundance. Green is one of the best door colors to choose for money magic and aligning with the magic of the earth.

Be sure to choose a green that reminds you of a lush and vibrant landscape in order to maximize the luxurious benefits of this magical door color.

Magical Door Color #6: Pink

If you think a pink door wouldn’t be protective, think again! While pink gets a bad rap as a cutesy color, it’s actually a surprisingly powerful and useful color in magic and witchcraft. It keeps harshness and negativity out, calls in sweetness and positivity, and generally promotes good vibes and good luck. A pink door also invites in friendship, harmony, and love.

Choose any shade of pink that you like for your door, but be aware that less noticeable pinks will begin to lose their magical qualities. In general, brighter and more vibrant colors are the most powerful when it comes to door colors.

Hi Tess. I’ve read you books and follow you on IG and FB. I intend to paint my front door a magical, witchy purple but was wondering if you had any particular specific purples that you would recommend?

Michael, that sounds great! I would find the one that feels the best to you. My walls in my office are painted a lovely lilac shade called Harmony, but I wouldn’t use that unless you love it like I do. I had a bunch of paint swatches and sat with them until I knew which one felt just right.

Hello! Thank you in advance, I well firstly interested into the directions and color you had mentioned.
I’m just learning well, always a believer of and in magic and magical things or ways.
And as grateful as I am to have now the last few years been shall say more pushed into the discovery of how hugely it has become not sure of how to word this.
Basically I feel or have felt now awhile certain powers, well spells or witchcraftery of the dark more so than powers because certain type of way of others or their actual words as well. But basically not the joyful and positive vibes I personally like to be in and around. I myself feel as before and have been better of getting back towards as well as getting the ones away whom had kinda just seemingly appeared as looking back now about same timeline. I’ve kinda had a total table flip in my life with a few unexpected events all close together and grateful as I am towards being an optimistic whom believes all things happen for reason s sometimes never to b known. Well I suppose what I’m wanting or trying to say is. Help. Lol. I feel I started rambling and usual would just delete all,All and not comment
Basically almost i9 years ago my father suddenly had well papers speaks it a stroke and I were away with my daughter a but after 2weeks intensive care and myself having decide take him off ventilator he passed. Say 3years later which I see nowaday ishould not at all remained working. That were 2017. But anyhow i feel like I am whining to you, but feel you don’t Kno if I’ve not give a big picture type ofevents to you.
At start of commenting I mentioned those odd feelings of some thing I want gone basically as these last few years I feel I’ve been basically zombiefied or such where I just mostly made things for myself more not good than any better. I want a dramatic change and feel at this moment I actually inside and externally have aligned myself or my personal energy maybe got stolen or had been a while stolen but I believe I’ve stolen it back and just don’t have any idea reallyhow to keep it. So maybe by decluttering this house I’ve almost totally barracaded inside🙃😎a bit more of that type feeling will follow in a catastrophically huge change. I had my 40th birthday last year and just feel have actual always felt there were certain places or certain people’s that may need my help or assistance with such.
Not meaning to sound some type way or all over the place. It’s just deeply felt and I also have always believe all people if life and experiences or paths align together that are souls are here to accomplish certain things or something bigger than oneself. Back towards color of door, there’s the blue purple and black I had read also a Navy is kinda considered a black too
Wanted to ask for your personal opinion

Hi Amanda! Would you mind summarizing your questions for me as bullet points? I’m not sure I understand them.

My door has been so many colors over the years. I might need to change it up again. It’s funny seeing how I chose specific colors when I needed theme the most 🙂 Hope you are well!

Reviews for "Painting with Intentions: How Witchcraft Paint Colors Can Enhance Your Spells"

1. Emily - 2 stars
I was really excited to try the "Witchcraft" paint color in my bedroom, but I was extremely disappointed with the results. The color looked completely different on my walls compared to the sample. Instead of the rich, deep purple I was expecting, it turned out to be more of a dull grey with a hint of purple undertones. It was not at all what I had envisioned and did not create the cozy and mysterious atmosphere I was going for. I would not recommend this paint color.
2. John - 1 star
I absolutely despise the "Witchcraft" paint color. It is by far the worst paint color I have ever used. Firstly, the coverage is terrible. I had to apply several coats just to get an even and decent-looking finish. Secondly, the color itself is underwhelming. It lacks the vibrancy and depth that is advertised. It looks more like a washed-out dark lavender rather than the deep, intense purple I was expecting. Save yourself the frustration and choose a different paint color.
3. Sarah - 2 stars
I had high hopes for the "Witchcraft" paint color, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The color turned out to be much cooler and more blue-toned than I had anticipated. It made my living room feel cold and impersonal, which was the opposite of what I wanted. Additionally, the paint formula itself was quite thin, making it difficult to achieve a smooth and even finish. Overall, I was not impressed with this paint color and would not use it again.
4. Michael - 2 stars
"Witchcraft" paint color is not worth the hype. I found the color to be quite dull and lackluster. It did not have the richness and depth I was hoping for in a dark purple shade. The coverage was also quite poor; I had to apply several coats to get decent coverage, and even then, the color looked patchy in areas. It's a shame because I've had great experiences with other paint colors from this brand. I would not recommend "Witchcraft" if you're looking for a true and vibrant purple shade.
