Still in Halloween spirit, I decided to do a witch hat pattern for my recently completed knitted tiny candy corn (though later on I put the hat on my knitted mouse too!). The pattern is easy and quick to make. The whole hat is knitted in the round starting from the brim and there is no joining required. Where you purl, the brim of the hat will naturally fold. I started doing a video tutorial, but then I realised that it’s very hard to see the knitting process as the needles are very small and don’t capture well on camera. Hopefully they are straight forward enough, but if you do need any help don’t hesitate to ask. 🙂

Reviews for "Witch hats made easy: Free knitting pattern available for download"

1. Sarah - 2 stars - I was really excited to find a free witch hat knitting pattern, but I was quite disappointed with this one. The instructions were not very clear and it was difficult to follow along. The pattern also didn't turn out as expected – the hat ended up being too small and didn't have the same shape as the picture. Overall, I was quite frustrated with this pattern and wouldn't recommend it to other knitters.
2. Mark - 1 star - I downloaded this witch hat knitting pattern with high hopes, but it was a complete disaster. The pattern itself was poorly written, with a lot of errors and lack of important details. I wasted a lot of time and yarn trying to figure out how to knit this hat, and in the end, it didn't even resemble a witch hat at all. I would not recommend this pattern to anyone who is serious about knitting.
3. Emily - 2 stars - As a beginner knitter, I thought this free witch hat knitting pattern would be a great way to improve my skills. However, I struggled a lot with this pattern. The instructions were not beginner-friendly and assumed a higher level of knitting knowledge than I had. The final result was disappointing and didn't look anything like a witch hat. I would recommend finding a different pattern if you're a beginner like me.
4. David - 3 stars - I had mixed feelings about this free witch hat knitting pattern. On one hand, the written instructions were quite confusing, and I found myself having to constantly refer to other online resources to understand certain steps. On the other hand, the chart provided with the pattern was easier to follow and helped me make sense of the design. Although I ended up with a decent witch hat, the overall experience was frustrating due to the lack of clear instructions.
