Uncover the Secrets of the Wikidot 5e Magic Items

By admin

Wikidot 5e magic items are a collection of magical items that are compatible with the 5th edition of the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. These items are created by users of the Wikidot platform and are available for other players to use in their D&D campaigns. The Wikidot 5e magic items cover a wide range of categories, including weapons, armor, rings, wands, and more. Each item is accompanied by a detailed description, including its effects, properties, and any special abilities it may possess. Players can use these items to enhance their characters' abilities, deal extra damage, or gain unique powers that can turn the tide of battle in their favor. One of the benefits of using Wikidot 5e magic items is the flexibility they offer.

it does often feel like monks lack a lot of dedicated magic items, an item that grants more ki would be nice.

5ed didn’t take the path to create items designed for class.
But that is not a problem for a DM.
attunement can be set to monk, and even to sub class if need!

Features that can be added to magic items for monk can include:
Increase size of martial dice
Plain +x bonus
Allowing sneak attack for fist attack for MC monk.
Mimic abilities of others popular weapon: flame tongue, warning weapon.
Allow smite like effect using ki.
Spell like effect fueled by ki or by usage per day.
improve class and sub class abilities.
Allow more ki point

This is mostly because feats are unbalanced and favors full casters and two-handed/ranged users more than every other archetype.

It is also because DMs put items in for their characters instead of putting in random items. This further encourages this practice.

An 8th level fighter who took all ASIs is going to stack up pretty well using a random +2 warpick or morningstar he found as compared to a PAM-GWM fighter using an non-magic Glaive or a bladesinger with spells optimized for melee and wielding a non-magic rapier (with Rapier being the only martial weapon she is proficient in). He might not at 6th, but by 8th level when a lot of enemies are resistant to non-magic damage it is very debilitating to have such a specialized build unless the DM is catering to it.

Feats like GWM and PAM are very good in the whiteroom, but they are also very specific and in a high-magic campaign with random magic items there are HUGE penalties for investing in such a narrowly focused set of weapons. If the DM gives out legendary items like vorpal weapons, sword of life stealing or a sunblade and is not tailoring those to your character builds these specialized guys are going to be weaker than the generalists.

Thread: Best 5E SRD?

I used to love the hypertext SRD for 3.5E and found it to be pretty accurate. I really dislike the one they have for 5E.

What do you consider to be the "best" 5E SRD in regards to accuracy and usability?

One of the benefits of using Wikidot 5e magic items is the flexibility they offer. Players can choose from hundreds of unique and custom-made items, allowing them to tailor their character's abilities to fit their playstyle. Additionally, since these items are created by other players, they often come with creative and inventive abilities that can add an extra layer of fun and excitement to a campaign.

Re: Best 5E SRD?

Personally, DNDBeyond. They do a great job of making things searchable and have hovertext.

Reviews for "Enhance Your Adventure with Wikidot 5e Magic Items"

I was really disappointed with "Wikidot 5e magic items". The descriptions of the magic items were often confusing and vague, making it difficult to understand their functions and uses. Additionally, there were several inconsistencies and errors in the information provided. It felt like a poorly researched compilation that lacked attention to detail. Overall, I was left feeling frustrated and unimpressed with this resource.

I cannot recommend "Wikidot 5e magic items" at all. The majority of the magic items listed were either overpowered or underpowered, making them impractical for use in a balanced game. The lack of balance and thought put into these items was evident, and it rapidly diminished my excitement to incorporate them into my campaigns. I ended up spending more time modifying and adjusting the items to fit my game's needs than actually using them in their original form. If you're looking for well-designed and balanced magic items, I suggest looking elsewhere.

While "Wikidot 5e magic items" features a wide range of magic items, the quality of the content is questionable. Many of the items lack creativity and uniqueness, resulting in a collection that feels uninspired. The descriptions and abilities of the items are often generic and similar to already existing items in official Dungeons & Dragons publications. Overall, it felt like a collection of hastily put together items without much originality or attention to detail. I wouldn't recommend this resource to anyone seeking innovative and captivating magic items.
4. Sarah - 3/5
Although "Wikidot 5e magic items" has a large selection of magic items, I found that the majority of them were unbalanced and could potentially break a game. Some items were too powerful, while others were too weak, making it challenging to find a middle ground for my campaign. While the variety was appreciated, I would have preferred a more carefully curated collection that focused on quality over quantity. If you're willing to spend the time adjusting and balancing the items yourself, then this resource might be suitable. However, for those seeking a ready-to-use collection, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
