I have a Thetford Aqua-Magic Style II toilet with two issues:

1. Bowl will not hold water
2. When you look down into the drop I can see what looks to be a piece of a rubber gasket hanging down.

I bought the kit to fix the bowl issue. Anyone have an idea on what the black gasket is hanging that is further down? If so, if you know what it's called so I can find that part too.

Anyone ever pulled the toilet and made these repairs? Pros and cons?

Sounds like the closet flange seal hanging further down. Should be replaced;

We have replaced most parts in ours (when we had one or two over the years) and just a little bit of time, common tools, and sometimes cramped working quarters.

I just replaced my seals a few weeks ago. You have the bowl seal and the floor flange, similar to a house toilet. My guess is the flange came loose somehow.
I hope you have more room to disconnect your water line. I could barely get my hand back there with a wrench.
Its a very easy install once you get the toilet out.

Bowl and base have to be separated to replace bowl seal
Have to reach inside from the back to remove the bowl/base bolts

Toilet has to be pulled up from floor mount to replace flange seal.

Now would be good time to install shutoff valve AT the toilet so in the future ALL the water to RV doesn't have to secured if working on toilet again

And if you don;t have the sprayer . that can be added also.
Just snip tip off on closed stub on bottom of vacuum breaker. attach a sprayer/hose to that stub using hose clamp (any kitchen sprayer will work.)

Adding the sprayer hose sounds great. What all besides a common sprayer do I need?

This is what I bought already:
Thetford 34120 Waste Ball Seal for Style II & Style Plus Toilets

This should fix the bowl issue correct?

I just need to get #6 and a common sink sprayer and some way to hook the sprayer up.
