I know an old woman who swallowed a dog.
What a hog, to swallow a dog!
She swallowed the dog to catch the cat.
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird.
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wriggled and jiggled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
I don't know why she swallowed that fly.
Perhaps she'll die.
The witch who swalloxed a fly

She could feel its wings fluttering against her stomach walls, causing her great discomfort. Desperate to get rid of the fly, the witch tried various spells and potions. She drank concoctions made from eye of newt and frog warts but nothing seemed to work. In fact, it only seemed to make the fly angrier. Weeks turned into months, and the witch's belly grew larger and rounder as the fly continued to thrive inside her. The witch's clothes no longer fit, and she became a spectacle in the forest with her oversized stomach. Word spread of the witch with a fly inside her. Villagers came from far and wide to witness the strange phenomenon. Some called her a freak, while others pitied her. But the witch became more determined than ever to rid herself of the fly. She ventured into the depths of the forest, seeking advice from wise old owls and talking trees. They suggested she try swallowing other creatures to catch the fly and release it. So, the witch swallowed a spider, a bird, a cat, a dog, and a horse, hoping that one of them would eat or scare away the fly. With each new creature she swallowed, the witch's discomfort only grew. The spider spun its web inside her, the bird pecked at her insides, the cat clawed her stomach, the dog barked incessantly, and the horse neighed loudly. The witch was in agony, regretting ever swallowing that first fly. In her desperation, the witch stumbled upon an old book of spells hidden deep within a hidden cave. She opened it, hoping to find a solution to her problem. To her surprise, she discovered a spell specifically for getting rid of swallowed flies. With trembling hands, the witch recited the incantation, feeling a surge of power coursing through her veins. Suddenly, her belly began to shake violently. The creatures she had swallowed were unleashed and burst out of her, one by one. Gasping for breath and covered in bruises, the witch surveyed the chaotic scene before her. The fly, however, remained stubbornly inside her. Frustrated but not defeated, the witch knew she would have to try another approach. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and swallowed her pride. With one final gulp, she swallowed her own fear and anxiety, embracing the fly as a part of herself. To her surprise, the fly flew out of her mouth, buzzing away into the forest. From that day forward, the wicked witch learned a valuable lesson about acceptance and self-compassion. She swore never to swallow strange things again, for she realized that sometimes the solution to our problems lies not in trying to rid ourselves of them, but in accepting them and finding peace within..
