Teacher Review: The Pros & Cons of Teaching for Magic Ears

Honest review … Magic Ears is an online English tutoring company – and they are constantly hiring! This is a fairly new company, so there is an opportunity to move up in rank quickly with secondary positions. I started working for them in April this year and my starting pay was $22/hour. It is a wonderful company to work for.

Throughout the book, Penczak explores various practices and exercises that help the reader deepen their connection with their Inner Temple. He covers topics such as meditation, energy work, divination, and ritual magic. Penczak also provides insights into the symbolism and mythology associated with witchcraft, allowing the reader to explore their own spiritual identity and path.

The Good

You are treated as a person, not a number. I receive emails, calls and texts via Skype regularly when they (or myself) wish to communicate. There is always a way to contact someone if you need assistance.

You are not penalized for sick or emergency days. No voice, stuffy congested head – no worries. Inform them that you are sick and Magic Ears will trust you. No doctor’s note required.

Teaching platform is awesome and smooth. Very rare to have tech issues. The classes are interactive and engaging for both the students and the teacher, which makes the time fly by. Classes are 25 minutes long.

The company is so kind to you as a person. I am often called or emailed with a message to tell me I did a good job. Even feedback from them about an area to improve on is given in a loving manner in order to help me to be a better teacher.

Work from anywhere in the world as long as you have a stable and fast internet connection. Currently, I am living in the Dominican Republic. I work early in the mornings for a couple of hours then take a break and walk across the street to the beach all day. After dinner, I work for an additional couple of hours in the evening.

Do I like waking up early and staying up late at night? NO! But, Magic Ears pays really well and the schedule permits me to do whatever I please during the whole day … which is getting a tan on the beach, taking a walk or snorkeling for fresh conch to cook for dinner that day. This sure beats the wintery mix in the Northeast right now (I came from Pennsylvania, USA).

Speaking of the US, Magic Ears only hires native teachers from Canada or the United States. They are looking for a specific accent.

Starting pay is great with a chance to go up to $26 per hour.

1. Grace - 1/5 stars - I was really disappointed with "The Inner Temple of Witchcraft". The author's writing style was dry and boring, and I struggled to stay engaged with the material. The exercises and rituals described in the book were confusing and didn't provide much guidance for someone new to witchcraft. Overall, I found this book to be a waste of time and money.
2. John - 2/5 stars - As someone who has been practicing witchcraft for a few years, I was hoping that "The Inner Temple of Witchcraft" would provide me with some new insights or practices. However, I found the book to be repetitive and lacking in depth. The information provided was very basic and didn't go beyond what can easily be found in other introductory books on witchcraft. I struggled to finish reading it and would not recommend it to experienced practitioners.
3. Sarah - 1/5 stars - "The Inner Temple of Witchcraft" was not what I was expecting at all. The author seemed more focused on sharing their personal experiences and beliefs rather than providing practical information for beginners. The exercises and rituals described were not explained clearly, making it difficult for me to follow along and understand their purpose. Additionally, the book felt disorganized, jumping from topic to topic without a clear structure. Overall, I found it to be a confusing and unhelpful read.
