“Rule 34” means “if it exists, there is porn of it” and that is what we look for in a show. We love shows that pervert the seemingly norm.
For example, some of the things that have been perverted at previous Rule 34’s include: Shrek, Turduckens, Frozen, Fairy Bread, Climate Change, ScoMo, Kmart, Marie Antoinette, Money, Candy, Trump, Dynasty, Mousetraps, human cows, cake, Elmo and… well, you get the picture. Everything. Anything. Sometimes all at once.
We love acts that show people something they haven’t seen or thought of before.

For each show, we pick a broad theme and encourage pitches that tie into that brief in some way.

Ultimately, we want to show the audience something they’ve never seen before, and something they could only see at a Rule 34 Club show.
We love SKITS, performance art, spoken word and storytelling, burlesque (only if it’s really bent and bizarre), weird party tricks, kink & fetish, blood, bodily fluids, BDSM, beyond drag, sick humour, performances that command attention and slap you in the face, nudity, sex, porn, filth, kooky erotica, wtf porn, weird gameshows, films and projections, shows that use more of the space than just the stage, DIY everything!

Types of performance that DON’T suit the vibe:
Classical/traditional burlesque, shows that centre a pretty outfit over a storyline, really long shibari performances, straight up drag queen/king lip syncing without much else, traditional circus and magic tricks, karaoke unless you take these elements and twist them into something Rule 34 worthy!
Zero tolerance
We have a zero tolerance for whorephobia and anti-sex work, racism, ageism, cultural appropriation, fat phobia, transphobia, queerphobia, ableism, bullying or generally punching down. No working out your drama on stage! Black face, yellow face, fat suits, accents that don’t belong to your heritage, “jokes” about minorities - no no no.
