I completely agree. I paid a little less than a thousand euro's on a high quality drone and now, four years later, batteries are impossible to find. Two out of three batteries just died after a few months of not flying. I don't even know WHY they died, just that they did. I'm lucky one survived, or I'd be throwing the tantrums to end all tantrums. In any case, you got one less customer in me with practices like this. But hey, you got my money, so what does dji care? (they don't)
I understand that they stop manufacturing a product but I do not understand that they stop manufacturing their spare parts and especially the batteries, what do we do with the drone if we do not have batteries. It will fly just fine without a mobile device attached, but you will not have access to the DJI intelligent flight modes though as they need the DJI Fly application.

I did have an old iPhone 6 die during a flight. The drone was within VLOS and I was able to control the drone with the controller and bring it back to a safe landing.
