Lucky Little Fin

The most anticipated sporting event of Elvenar is about to start once again, bringing new experiences and challenges never seen before!

Rufus, our dear friend and the biggest fan of the Elvarian Games, has asked to meet with us to watch the spectacular games of this year. He is especially intrigued about Grand Hippocampus Hoop Derby since it features a racetrack that is designed to evolve over time! Seahorses of Elvenar will compete in each stage, challenging their speed, durability, and wits. While everyone cheers to the stronger and more beautiful seahorses, Rufus notices a little runty seahorse among them, and he feels a deep sense of empathy towards it. What will happen to it, and can it ever hope to win?

Rufus is a fantastic dwarf. You never saw a dwarf enjoying the Elvarian Games as he did. He will guide you through the event and tell you the story of the Elvarian Games.

Leagues

In this event, you will have the chance to participate in Leagues and win even more fantastic prizes! Spending Seahorse Food and reaching Hoops not only allows you to progress on the map towards the Grand Prizes but also to progress up through the Leagues.

There are five different Leagues you can attain by reaching the Hoops of Competition: Hobby, Iron, Bronze, Silver, and Gold League. Each League is limited to a number of players with the required amount of points for that League. If a league is already full, you will move down to the next League, but remember, the positions on the Leagues are recalculated every hour so do not give up hope and keep progressing on the event map to be able to progress in the Leagues also!

  • Hobby - All Players
  • Iron - Top 50%
  • Bronze - Top 20%
  • Silver - Top 5%
  • Gold - Top 1%

For the Hobby League, you only need to start playing the event, as for the rest of the Leagues you need to reach Hoops in order to progress through the Leagues. Each Hoop of Competition has a different amount of points that will allow you to progress through the leagues, you can see how many points will be added to your progress directly on the Hoops.

Each League has a minimum amount of points that need to be reached. The League requirements are based on the progress of all players playing the event and are recalculated every hour, so you might notice some changes in the required points to achieve the next League.

If you hover your mouse over the Leagues icon in the event window, you will be able to see your rank and how much further you have to go until you reach the next League.

Leagues Prizes

In Leagues, there are even more fantastic prizes to be won such as Expiring Buildings, Event Buildings, Knowledge Points, Royal Restoration, and even an exclusive Portrait that is not available anywhere else in the game!

I'd have a look whether it aligns with your preferences. Is it tournament/spire (catering or fighting) or is it easy progress through chapters? They both need different resources. With tournament and spire, you need a lot of goods and/or troops so I'd focus on those. If you prefer progress, it's a lot about having available space for research needs. Also, sometimes it's good not to place evolving buildings as you can craft an upgraded base later on and use the artifacts in a later chapter when the building is more useful. In early chapters, the space is very precious and progress is fast so event buildings can go obsolete very quickly.

Just a warning. at the current rate of rotation and with the current roster of Evolving Buildings (which is probably going to keep growing), it takes about 2 years between appearances of a given Base.

Mischievous Therapy

All Hallows Eve day is getting closer in Elvenar and again Mrs. Sniffles plans to use the convergence of spirits to perform an even stronger ritual. With all her ingredients prepared she leaves the shack and walks towards the forest, chanting magic words to attract the animal spirits.

This time, something was weirdly odd, the spirits were nowhere to be seen. The witch then raises the tone making her voice echo all over the woods. As she increases her concentration, her senses sharpen and inside her mind she can see, deep inside the woods, a small doll sitting near a grave. Simple and yet so Ancient, small and yet so powerful.

Snapping out of the trance Mrs. Sniffles feels the path of animal spirits marching towards the grave and decides to investigate the occurrences in the Bog. Following the steps of the animal spirits, you are invited again to venture into the Misty Forest and try to understand where the cats are heading to.

During this journey, Mrs. Sniffles meets with a friend from a long time ago, The Headless Knight Sir. Necklace, who once again presents himself only by a flying head without his body. He claims that his body also left him and headed towards the forest, just like the spirit cats.

Reaching the cove they are introduced to an Ancient Lost Spirit, the Witch Doctor. The powerful creature awake after a century to treat the diseases from soul and flesh. Lost among the undead Sir. Necklace finds his body that, after a nice spectral massage, now looks stronger and more energetic. The animal spirits, even being ancient are always ready for some back rubs, and walk around the bog playing with the zombies.

Quests & Quest Milestones

The quest line consists of a story section and additional episodic quests, which start as soon as the story is completed. This means that you will be able to finish the first series of quests right away, while later quests have new additions released on a daily basis, allowing you to continue to play one additional event quest on each new event day.

Solving event quests also comes with additional benefits, as each completed quest brings you closer to reaching one of the Milestones which give you additional rewards simply for reaching them.

Event Menu

Each completed quest will give you Magic Ingredients as a reward. They are automatically added to the Event Menu. With the Magic Ingredients, you can obtain various Magical Lights with which you can light up your path in the Misty Forest. With these Magical Lights, you will uncover rewards and Friendly Spirits in the mist. The latter will help you unlock Grand Prizes including the Witch Doctor Artifacts.

By clicking the Event Menu icon you will access the Event Window which will give you plenty of information and allow you to put the Magic Ingredients you gathered to use:

  1. Indicates the remaining time for the Event.
  2. Shows you the amount of Magic Ingredients you have collected and have not yet spent.
  3. Allows you to buy Magic Ingredients using Diamonds.
  4. Magical Lights (Candles, Lanterns, and Flash Flasks), which are used to remove fog from the forest. Hover over them or use the information button ("i") to see how to use them.
  5. The Misty Forest which you try to traverse to unlock rewards. Tiles covered in fog can be cleared using Magical Lights and will sometimes uncover Lost Items, more Magical Lights, or Friendly Spirits.
  6. A Friendly Spirit you can discover when you make your way through the Misty Forest
  7. Opens the Magical Lights Shop which allows you to buy more Magical Lights using Magic Ingredients.
  8. Leagues, allows you to see your progress through the Leagues (please check the bottom of the page for more information)
  9. As you see that you have reached 5/5 Reroll charges, and you want to change your Daily Prize, just press the Reroll button, confirm your choice, and you will see your Daily Prize change for the day!
  10. Shows you the Daily Exclusive reward you can get if you discover a Lost Item in the fog. This also shows you how long it will still be available before it is gone.
  11. Grand Prizes to be won by collecting 20 Friendly Spirits for each. Click on the "Claim" button to collect the Grand Prizes you have already achieved.
  12. The amount of Friendly Spirits you have already discovered in the Misty Forest.

Magic Ingredients

You start the Misty Forest event with 50 Magic Ingredients and each Event Quest will give you more as a reward for completing the given tasks. Every day you play during the Event, you will receive a Daily Misty Forest login reward of more Magic Ingredients.

From time to time, you will find more Magic Ingredients around your city outskirts for you to collect.

You can then use the Magic Ingredients to buy more Magical Lights. Additional Magic Ingredients are unlocked upon reaching the third Quest Milestone.

Remember that the Mischievous Therapy event only lasts for a few weeks, and after that you will no longer be able to use your Magic Ingredients to buy Magical Lights and earn awesome rewards, so don't waste time!

Traversing the Misty Forest

The Misty Forest is a spooky place, shrouded in thick fog. But fear not, with the Witch's help you can get your hands on Magical Lights that make even the thickest mist vanish.

Your goal is to comb through the forest in search for Friendly Spirits and Lost Items. To do so, you advance from left to right and clear the thick fog that shrouds your view. Whenever at least one fog tile is cleared by a Magical Light in the rightmost column, a new row of misty tiles is unlocked next to it, moving you further to the right. Use Magical Lights strategically to clear out as many tiles as possible and collect all rewards you can find.

Magical Lights

There are three types of Magical Lights that will help you advance in the Misty Forest:

  • Candles uncover one patch of fog at a time and can only be used on tiles that are still covered in mist.
  • Lanterns clear an entire column from top to bottom, unless their light beam is interrupted by an obstacle. They need to be placed on a tile that was previously uncovered.
  • Flash Flasks remove the fog on all patches directly adjacent to where it was placed. They also need to be placed on a tile that was previously uncovered.

Additional Magical Lights can be obtained in the Magical Lights Shop that is opened from the event menu. Candles, Lanterns and Flash Flasks can be obtained separately or in bulk, with various different options.

While using Magical Lights and making your way through the forest, you will uncover additional Magical Lights, Lost Items containing various rewards (including Daily Exclusives) and Friendly Spirits that help you unlock the Grand Prizes of the event.

Friendly Spirits

Sometimes you will uncover Friendly Spirits from the fog. Find and collect 20 of these cute ghosts and you will unlock the next Grand Prize.
