Boost Your Wallet: Amulet Coin Location in Pokemon Emerald

By admin

To find the Amulet Coin in Pokemon Emerald, players need to navigate through several in-game locations. The Amulet Coin is a valuable item that doubles the amount of money obtained after winning a battle. It is commonly used by trainers to increase their monetary gains and purchase various items in the game. The first step to locating the Amulet Coin is to obtain the Surf ability. Players can acquire Surf by defeating the Gym Leader in Petalburg City and receiving the Balance Badge. Once players have Surf, they can head to Route 118, which is accessible from Mauville City.

Once players have Surf, they can head to Route 118, which is accessible from Mauville City. On Route 118, players need to navigate through various trainers and wild Pokemon battles until they reach a small beach area with a river on the left. Using Surf, players must travel along the river to reach a small island.

When you're done with him, head down to talk to the Rare Berry Girl. She'll give you a random, rare berry if you answer her question "Yes." Be sure to grab some more berries from the grove to the left. There are even more Berries to be had by climbing the nearby stairs. Think of all the Pokéblocks you can make! Once you've grabbed the berries, Surf across the pond to the south and grab the Full Heal on the opposite shore. Then sail back across and head north. Another ninja will be waiting.

After defeating Beauty Jessica, search the grove of trees for Berries. Aspear, Persim, Rawst and Chesto Berries are on tap in this little orchard. As you move further down the path, you'll see the conniving Team Aqua/Magma moving toward Mt. Pyre. Leave them for right now. You've got more important things to do, i.e. catching scads of Pokémon. You'll note that cutting a simple tree will lead you to a building. Go inside and talk to the man at the desk to start your adventure in the Safari Zone.

Safari Zone
The idea behind the Safari Zone is to catch as many Pokémon as possible. You'll get 30 Safari Balls to play with, but you have to use them all before you walk 500 steps, because then, the fun is over. The price is 500 as well. Cheap! The beautiful part of it is, any time you have 500 bucks, you can play. so you should be able to catch all of the rare Pikachus and Psyducks you want to.

advertisement

A couple of notes are in order. The Safari Zone is unlike other Pokémon-catching situations. First off, you don't have to battle any of the creatures that you meet. However, that almost makes catching them even harder. Instead of weakening them by fighting, you have two options. Either you can creep closer and attempt to use the Pokéball then, or you can lure/distract them with Pokéblocks. Make sure you have plenty of Pokéblocks before you set foot in the Zone. If you don't have any handy, fly back to Slateport City and mix some up quick, then return.

Once you actually go out on the Safari field, there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Getting closer to a Pokémon increases your shot of capturing it. Don't move in too close, though, or you could frighten it away.
  • Talk to everyone you meet. They'll all be able to give you hints about catching Pokémon here. Make sure to stop by the Rest House at the center of the map at least once.
  • Use the Pokéblock Feeders! Pokémon around the feeders are more likely to be caught because they're distracted by checking out the goodies.
  • Specific Pokéblocks attract animals with natures similar to the Pokéblock's. An animal that is attracted in this way is much easier to catch.
  • One way to save steps is to stand on a square in the tall grass and simply flick the D-Pad in a different direction. Your character won't take a step, but you do have a chance of scaring up a new Pokémon.
  • Come back to the Safari Zone with each different bike--Mach and Acro. The Mach Bike will be able to quickly reach higher areas on the left of the map, and the Acro Bike will get to the higher regions on the right. In fact, you'll need to ride these bikes to get some of the goodies stashed at the north end of the map.
  • Make sure you explore watery areas. Surf on large areas to find even more rare Pokémon.
advertisement

Before you leave the Safari Zone, there are some items you should definitely grab. Use the Mach Bike to go up the cliff to the west, then work your way around to the northern pond. Cross it to find TM22 (Solarbeam). Conversely, ride the Acro Bike over the rails on the east half of the map, then head north to find a Calcium up against the rocks in some tall grass. In the lower left corner, you'll find a Max Revive across the pond there. Since you only get 500 steps, you can't grab all of these things on the same trip. But remember to come back and snag them later!

Route 121
Once you're done in the Safari Zone, go explore Lilycove City quickly. It will be handy to have this location available to fly to later, so you may as well see it now. Go down the steps south of the Safari Zone to get to Lilycove City. Before you get there, you'll have to weave through a partially fenced-in path, and take on several trainers.

Near Gentleman Walter is a Carbos, and there are Nanab Berries to be found on the south part of the path, near the water. Once you have them, head to the right, into Lilycove City.

Lilycove City
Lilycove City is your one-stop shopping headquarters. Make sure you talk to everyone in town en route to the huge department store, which is directly north of the Pokémon Center. Before you head up there, explore the rest of town. To the right of the PC is a house full of Pokéfans. If you become famous by becoming the Champion, return here to see who has become a fan of you!

Directly south of this building is the Cove Lily Motel. If you fill up your Pokédex, return here and show the owner of the motel. For now, though, follow the long path to the south that edges the water. At the end of this path is a Max Repel. Once you get it, head back to the main path and turn left. The first building you'll see is the Contest Hall, for Master Rank contests. You need a Ribbon in each of the Normal, Super and Hyper contests in order to compete here. There is a Berry Blender here as well. For more information about contests, visit the Contests section of this guide.

advertisement

In the next cottage to the left is the Pokéblock Master. She'll give you hints about making great Pokéblocks. The most important thing she says is that a good Pokéblock has a low feel rating and a high level. Test out what you learned at the Contest Hall next door, or just head south to the Lilycove City Harbour. The sign out front tells you that the Ferry SS Tidal is under construction. It'll be awhile until it's operational. Check back when you become champion. Now it's time to head up to the Department Store. Climb the stairs to the right of the Poké Center to get up there. Before going in, head all the way to the right and get a random Berry from the salty dog on the cliff.

Before you can get inside the Department Store, you'll have to battle your Rival again. Have at it, young buck!

Rival Battle #4
This is the final Rival Battle you'll face in the game, and of course it's the toughest. Again, the Pokémon your Rival has depends what you picked to begin the game. A decent array of Pokémon (Water, Flying, Ground, etc.) is helpful, but if you have a strong Electric Pokémon, you're set. Here's how it breaks down:

Mossdeep City is where you'll (finally) find the Gym that will give you your seventh Badge. For now, let's just take a look around town. As you go up the stairs, head north and go into the building to the left of the Pokémon Center. Here, a little boy will tell you he found the Secret Base you made. What a talent.

The house directly behind this one is Steven's. He'll give you the Dive HM08. It won't work outside of battle until you score this city's Gym Badge, though. If you head one house to the right, the guy there will tell you one of your Pokémon's favorite Pokéblock color. Useful info, indeed. Near these two houses is a little boy who will give you King's Rock. Give it to a Pokémon who you want to evolve. This held item may also cause Pokéopponents to flinch. The Gym is to the east, but wait to go there for now. Instead, head south to the Pokémon Mart.

Poké Mart
The following items are for sale at Mossdeep's market:

Ultra Ball: 1200
Net Ball: 1000
Dive Ball: 1000
Hyper Potion: 1200
Full Heal: 600
Revive: 1500
Max Repel: 700

South of the Mart is another house, and a path leading to the east. Follow the path until you see stairs to the south. Follow them down to grab a Net Ball, then return to the main path and keep heading east. The next set of stairs leads up to a house. Inside, you'll find the little girl who is corresponding with the fellow from Fortree who you encountered earlier. Remember, if you return to that chap he'll give you Mental Herb, so do it the next time you're in his town.

Exit thegirl's house and move around to the west, then the north. There, you'll find another cottage. Talk to the boy inside to get the Super Rod for fishing. You can catch Pokémon that live all the way down to the ocean floor with it. When you're done here, go back toward the girl's house and climb the stairs near her house. Go inside the Space Center to get the Sun Stone, which will allow you to evolve certain Fire-type Pokémon. Once you finish at the Space Center, go back to the Gym. Time for a fight!

Ralts: Level 35
Kadabra: Level 36

Once the fight ends, move to the down arrow and ride it to the lobby. Now, go through the Gym and flip all of the switches. Once you do, get on the left-arrow path in the southwest corner and ride it all of the way up to the Leaders.

Gym Leaders Tate and Liza (Simultaneous)
Lunatone: Level 42
Solrock: Level 42

If you need healing, do it before the fight commences. Have plenty of Potions handy in case this affair drags out. Tate and Liza will use plenty of Hyper Potions, so you'll have to deal massive damage to win the fight. If you have a Water-Type Pokémon, use it. Both of these creatures are vulnerable to it. If you have an attack that hits both at once, like Muddy Water, use that to make the fight a short one. When you triumph, you'll gain the Mind Badge, and earn the ability to use Dive outside of combat. In addition, they'll throw in TM04 (Calm Mind).

After defeating your dad. Go back to your house and talk to your mom and he will give an amulet coin. An amulet coin is an item to hold. Give it to your first party pokemon. Amulet coin doubles the original money the you supposed to get after defeating a trainer.

Catch a full team of zigzagoons, then walk around. Since zigzagoon's ability is pickup, they will be getting items left and right that you can sell or keep.

Well this takes time and raising one or more Pokemon to lv one hundred or not it depends if your patient just put the amulet coin on one of the Pokemon facing the Pokemon league I prefer blaziken with the moves earthquake, firepunch, doublekick, and return acompanied with a jirachi with thunder or thuneershock, wish, doom desire, and swift. Win battles,I suggest battle the elite four.

arbiter88 answered: Jul 16 2006 , ID #134311

I know a way but it may take while. Catch 6 zigzagoons or linoones (or any combos of the 2). They all should have the ability pick up. Then simply walk around for a while and check every once and a while to see if any of them have picked up items. Then sell the items for $cash$. Hope I helped ^_^

Sell things like nugget,Iron, protein etc and earn a lot of money

Guest answered: Sep 3 2011 , ID #438221

You can battle the elite 4 like 10 times or more, you could use a Pokemon that knows pickup and find items and sell them or you can buy coins and play rollet and win and get alot of tms and sell those. You could EARN bp and buy items and sell those. Or you could do other things like use meowths pay-day on wild Pokemon on route #101 happy if this helped.

How to clone Guest answered: Apr 21 2013 , ID #583949

Ope After you beat your dad you get an amulet coin from your mom. Give it to your most dominant Pokemon or the Pokemon that is strong against the type you are battling. And if you have made it to the battle frontier, you can clone a Pokemon while holding the amulet coin so when you use both Pokemon with the amulet coins in a double battle, you get a lot of money. Hope this helped

Guest answered: Feb 2 2014 , ID #616276

Just go to battle frontier, and beat the pyramid a lot of times (it will give you a LOT of battle points, 5 or more), after that, go to the points exchange service and buy a lot of protein, carbos or any of those things, they cost 1 battle point each, now go to the mart and sell all the proteins you get 4900 per unit, hope this helped :D

Quickest Easiest way
You will need:
The Rich Kid and Lady Cindy phone numbers, the Amulet Coin and any Pokemon with Thief Ability

1. Equip any Pokemon other than the one with the Thief ability(the thief Pokemon cannot hold more than one item)
2. Equip your bicycle(walking is fine but this is faster)
3. Find the border between Rustboro City and Hoenn Route 104(this is, where a prompt of the two locations show up along with some the specific music)
4. Go back and forth until you get calls from BOTH of them(the aforementioned change of music gets a bit irritating though)
5. Place your Pokemon with the Amulet Coin first in your party
6. Challenge Rich Boy Winston, switch out the Pokemon with Amulet coin for the one with the Thief attack. Make sure you win.
7. Take the Nugget that your Pokemon stole.
8. Go over to Lady Cindy past the Petalburg Woods
9. Repeat as with Rich Boy Winston
10. Now you have earned (9800 X 2 = 19600) + 2 Nuggets (5000 X 2 = 10000) = 29600
Repeat the whole process again and then spend it to your hearts content at the conveniently located Pokemall in Rustboro

I'm no expert on Pokemon, but if you want my opinion, having Meowth with you is the best way to be greedy.
It's signature move Pay Day (learned at Lvl20) generates coins, and since it's Pickup ability will occasionally generate an item after a battle too, you can make some more quick cash by selling whatever items you don't want to keep.
Only problem is, the game doesn't seem to show any indication of when an item is picked up, so if you want to take full advantage of it, you'll have to check your party after every single battle to see if Meowth is suddenly carrying an item for you to take.
Also, Meowth trades it's Pickup ability for Limber when it evolves into Persian, so you may want to cancel it's evolution. Giving it an Everstone is pointless, since giving Meowth a hold item will prevent it from picking up any other items anyway.
For a third bonus, teach it Thief so that you can roam around Hoenn with your own personal money-grubbing cat burglar. :3

Zigzagoon/Linoone This is by far, one of the best and easiest way to get money, especially early game. You can just catch 5-6 of them, and just do a lot of battles. I recommend just getting 5, then use one main Pokemon that you want to level up. Do note that the higher the level of the Pokemon with Pickup, the better the items they can pick up.

  • Always check to see if your Pickup Pokemon picked stuff up.
  • If you have a Pokemon with Lightning Rod at the first of your party, Lady Cindy and Rich Boy Winston should ask for a rematch much faster, than if you don't.

Pokemon emerald amulet coin location

On the island, there is a lone fisherman who will challenge the player to a battle. Defeat the fisherman, and he will reward the player with the Amulet Coin as a prize. After receiving the Amulet Coin, players can equip it to any of their Pokemon by using the item from the Bag menu during a battle or outside of battle. The Amulet Coin's effect will then be activated, doubling the amount of money earned from battles. By equipping the Amulet Coin to a strong Pokemon and participating in battles, players can accumulate a significant amount of money in Pokemon Emerald. This newfound wealth can be used to purchase rare items, healing items, rare Pokemon, and other necessities to aid in the player's journey throughout the game. With the help of the Amulet Coin, trainers can overcome challenges and progress further in their adventures in the Hoenn region..
