These celebrations are deeply rooted in nature and honor the cycles of the seasons. One of the most important pagan holidays is Koliada, which takes place during the winter solstice in late December. This holiday marks the return of the sun and the renewal of life after the cold and dark winter. Koliada is celebrated with music, dancing, and the burning of a Yule log.
