Embracing Nature's Rhythms: Pagan Celebrations in the Modern Era

By admin

Pagan ceremonies are ancient rituals that have been practiced for centuries. These ceremonies are deeply rooted in nature and often revolve around the changing seasons and lunar cycles. In 2023, pagans around the world will continue to observe these ceremonies as a way to connect with the natural world and honor their spiritual beliefs. One of the main elements of pagan ceremonies is the worship of nature. Pagans believe in the interconnectedness of all things and see the divine in the natural world. Through their ceremonies, they honor the earth, the sun, the moon, and all living creatures.

Magic Sleek: is It Worth It?

For most, summer coming means sun, beach, BBQ, and vacations. For me, warm weather means FRIZZ! I basically spend June – September looking frightful. I need the absolute perfect weather conditions for me to have a good hair day. The slightest moisture in the air causes a major problem. I have tried Keratin, which does amazing things to my hair, but then I can forget about jumping in a pool, swimming in an ocean, or sweating during a workout! I mean, after spending $100-$200 on a treatment, there is no way I’m going to let it wash out.

Magic Sleek is a new treatment that works just like Keratin , however it is supposed to last longer, uses less harmful ingredients, and you can enjoy all summer has to offer because it won’t wash out. I recently decided to give it a try and so far I’ve been super happy with the results.

My hair looks pretty similar to a typical Keratin treatment, but there are some initial differences you will need to be prepared for:

Price: First of all, it is by far more expensive. A full treatment starts at $259.00. That was way too much for me to spend so I went a slightly cheaper route and got the Magic Sleek Express. Using this method they actually skip a few of the steps to speed up the process.

Time: Magic Sleek takes an incredible amount of time. I wasn’t prepared for how much time was needed and panicked a little when after 3 hours we still weren’t finished. If you plan on using this service, definitely clear your schedule for the day. I wound up at the salon for 5 hours and mine was just the express. I can’t even imagine how long the full service takes!

Hidden Costs: One of the benefits of using this method is that you don’t need to buy special sulfate free products because it won’t strip your hair of the Magic Sleek. However, when I got to the register to pay I was then told I should buy the $50.00 Magic Sleek shampoo because they compliment each other and will help my hair maintain this straight, frizz free look longer. I decided not to buy the shampoo and risk my luck with my own drug store Pantene brand. I don’t know if I am making a mistake by not purchasing the shampoo, but I’ll take my chances!

Is Magic Sleek treatment formaldehyde free? Does the hair straightening treatment work as well as keratin and the Brazilian blow out?

If you've ever wondered how celebrities manage to have flawless, frizzless hair, Magic Sleek is the answer. The straightening process offers an alternative to keratin treatments, Japanese straightening and Brazilian blowouts and lasts for months. It also allows people to choose just how straight they want their hair to be, which has led to celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker embracing the treatment.

Unlike other straightening treatments, Magic Sleek is 100 percent formaldehyde-free and doesn't contain the other harsh ingredients usually found in straightening procedures.

It's a go-to for many of Bravo's real housewives, including The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice as well as with her daughter, Gabriella, who received the treatment before heading back to school.

It's a favorite with clients at Manhattan's star-studded Serge Normant at John Frieda salon, where celebrity stylist Ty Holbrook has used Magic Sleek on SJP, James Franco, Bethenny Frankel and Jane Krakowski.

If you do book in for the treatment, be prepared to spend a while in a salon chair. It can take a few hours, but will then keep your hair straight and frizz-free for months. First, hair is shampooed, then it's relaxed (but without any harsh chemicals or a strange smell) and then a finisher is applied.

Nozomi Kanda, a stylist at Warren Tricomi in Manhattan, explained that she does the straightening process on clients aged between 12 to 80.

“I like Magic Sleek the best because nobody wants the pin sleek Japanese straightening,” she said.

She explained how hairstyles have evolved in recent years, going from the pin straight look in the 90s (think Jennifer Love Hewitt) to Instagram-worthy beachy waves. She’s told her clients to switch from Keratin, since it isn’t as healthy and washes away.

Some of her clients are making the switch on their own because they want to use a product that’s non-toxic. “I think it’s social media. All of the clients are so educated from media, they know more than we do sometimes,” she said.

Many of her clients are much younger and simply don’t have the time to blowdry and straighten their hair before school in the morning. She’s particularly busy with high schoolers on the Upper East Side for back to school season.

There are two types of Magic Sleek. One is regular - which lasts for four to six months, and one is express, with express lasting three months. At Warren Tricomi, the process costs anywhere from $500 to $800 depending on hair length.

Through their ceremonies, they honor the earth, the sun, the moon, and all living creatures. In 2023, pagans will continue to offer prayers and make offerings to these natural forces, seeking their blessings and guidance. Another important aspect of pagan ceremonies is the celebration of the seasons.

Pagan ceremonies 2023

Pagans acknowledge and celebrate the changes that occur throughout the year, such as the spring equinox, summer solstice, autumn equinox, and winter solstice. These ceremonies often involve rituals, feasts, and dancing to mark the transition into a new season. In 2023, pagans will come together to honor and give thanks for the gifts of each season. The lunar cycles also play a significant role in pagan ceremonies. The moon has long been associated with feminine energy and is seen as a symbol of fertility and intuition. Many pagans perform rituals and spells during specific lunar phases, such as the full moon or the new moon. In 2023, pagans will continue to harness the power of the moon through these ceremonies, using its energy to manifest their desires and intentions. Overall, pagan ceremonies in 2023 will be a way for people to reconnect with nature, celebrate the changing seasons, and tap into the cosmic energies of the moon. These ancient rituals provide a sense of grounding and spiritual nourishment in a modern world that often feels disconnected from the natural world. Through their ceremonies, pagans will continue to honor and celebrate the sacredness of life, forging a deep connection with the divine forces that surround them..
